**GSP confirms contract negotiations with UFC**

So you're ok with a top guy like Bendo going over to Bellator instead of fighting guys at his level in the UFC?

How do the fans benefit when top level guys are spread out over different orgs? I get how it benefits the fighters but what do the fans get out of it?

you make a fair point, especially as i wanted frankie to get the chance to beat bendo for teh third time, and i certainly mean no disrespect to bendo, but he is one guy who was ranked in the top 10. if there was a huge divide and exodus, then i would be more inclined to agree with you.

on the other hand, i would not necesarrily be opposed to a similar situation as there was years ago when pride was a legitimate rival for ufc. i hated having fedor never fight in the ufc, or having arona and tito throw hands, but pride was kinda cool.

He should agree to fight at UFC 200 but only if it's a main event above Conor then he'll see how much pull he has in the ufc

I'm not sure how I feel about GSP making a return... I get nervous.

and yeah, fuck Reebok.

GSP moves to Bellator it seriously changes the landscape of mma

likely they will work it out with he UFC
GSP will be given a special deal so as to not upset the applecart

does he still have fights left on a UFC deal?

Bad move unless he handpicks his first fight back. He needs to test the waters before jumping in with the top 5, maybe even top 10, sharks.

the whole Reebok deal shows how bush league UFC still is. Nike, Under Armour, and Adidas are throwing 80-100 milly at individual athletes. UFC is all like 100 mil for everyone? Sign us up.

GSP is still arguably in his prime.

I don't really understand why he retired at such an early age.

I heard he had some mental health issues?

OCD and severe anxiety is what he said iirc

GSP coming back to MMA would be the biggest thing since pockets. There's only one way that GSP would chain himself with Reebok is if he gets paid Michael Jordan money.

It was a matter of time, of course this would happen.....Reebok here to stop it lol

Maybe even if his deal expired the champions clause automatically extends your contract one fight.

Yea I read that his contract was frozen, just like what they did with Couture. Was just curious how many fights he had left on his contract when he left

UFC should have gotten Under Armour as the sponsor. brand is hot as hell right now and achieving remarkable growth. that was the kind of sponsor the UFC needed.
This deal was always going to be a major disaster for whatever company went onboard. Reebok also should have been smarter when it came to uniform design. How this range of fight gear got released baffles me.
