**GSP confirms contract negotiations with UFC**

How does it matter to him at all since he never wore sponsors anyways?

since everyone says there is no way around the ufc's reebok money, than the ufc better come with a huge ass ppv points otherwise GSP coming back is just hearsay.

You are too unintelligent to reason with so I will not try. I bid you good day, sir.

P.S. The irony of you saying that everyone else doesn't understand shit is very funny.

He's too dumb to realize that. Also, it's "censor" lol.

Whoops, thanks. Fixed.

Its been like a year and everytime Reebok is brought up, how terrible the deal is comes up soon after

The greedy never consede tho

Not gonna lie, every time I see a reebok apparel, I have the urge to buy it. Having that reebok logo thrown at my face every time I do anything involving UFC is slowly starting to work. But lucky I'm broke most the time. For real though, I think I've only seen one person wear something reebok on my campus, and it was a cap. I mostly see Under Armour and Nike products being worn.

Opposite for me. The more I see Reebok getting shoved down my throat the more I get turned off.

If you listen to the actual interview in French what GSP actually says is that his contract's so old that it doesn't include any of the new stuff and that needs to be updated. That's the stumbling block, he's got a contract that's at minimum 3 years old (given that he last fought in 2013)

Reebok isn't really a stumbling block, it's that GSP's current contract

A) Allows him to wear whatever sponsors he wants, which he likely HAS to wear, yet UFC only allows Reebok
B) Doesn't give him the kind of money that he can fetch nowadays

GSP and his team just realize that it would be stupid to try and use this current contract that they've got when they've got the perfect time to renegotiate on the excuse that he needs a new contract because of the Reebok deal. He'll see his pay skyrocket due to what guys are currently making, and probably get loads of compensation to wear Reebok on the side

I got out of Reebok when I was in my early teens myself. All true fans aren't gonna waste their time.

Most of you look like uneducated buffoons blaming Reebok for sponsoring the UFC. "They should have gone with Under Armor" or "the fighters are pissed at Reebok because they can't wear their own clothing with their sponsors on it". First of all, retards, what f*cking clothing the fighters wear is not gonna change the fact that two motherf*ckers are gonna compete. This ain't no sissy fashion show. If you're really concerned about what another man wears then get a f*cking life. Secondly, Reebok sponsors the UFC and the UFC distributes it how they feel is fair. Get it? So don't complain that fighter X is only getting 20k and Reebok is ripping them off. You're a complete fool and don't understand sh*t. Lastly, why the f*ck do you care what the fighters make? Do you think they give a f*ck about YOUR salary? Get a life. Better yet, get a job.

The actual money doesn't bother me, what bothers me is that it'll turn off future prospects from entering the sport. Even at that, I don't care that much.

GSP needs to go to Viacom. It'll make things more interdasting.

P.S. Relax bro. Like you say, who really gives a sheet.

wholly shit.

gsp and steph curry?? that would be two premiere athletes in fairly large organizations.

i think i read that the curry IIs were outselling lebron and kobe combined, and given teh reasonable price point coupled with positive reviews, that could very well be the case.

i am not hating on reebok at this stage, but i have always wondered what they really benefit from the ufc deal--sure, they get a ton of exposure, but teh ufc is easily attacked and teh deal sucks for the fighters.

reebok wasnt known for its apparel before teh contract, and it looks terrible that dana is sporting nike every chance he gets.

reebok was cool back in the day (shawn kemp, shaq, dominique wilkins, and teh pumps, kamakize and the like), but i thought reebok was focusing on hockey jerseys and skates.

in any event, the reebok deal was about money, whihc i get, but the atheletes are not benefiting, and i cant imagine that reebok is making a killing in newfound popularity.

I would imagine Reebok would love to give GSP a special sponsorship like some of the other top names which would result in better pay. Glad GSP is letting it be known that Reebok is a sticking point. Sucks that the fucking Reebok deal could prevent us from witnessing a GSP return.

I knew Reebok was a bad idea in the very beginning.

GSP vs Lawler now!

I have Nike running shoes and golf shirts, addidas shoes, and t shirts and shorts from both as well as under armour rash guards and golf appareil. I don't have any Reebok stuff. Anyone else buy Reebok stuff?

I would be more likely to buy Reebok than Nike, and about 0% chance to buy either. Every time I have forgotten how crappy Nike products are and buy their shoes they fall apart so fast I quickly remember why I stopped. My New Balance shoes I use for work have lasted an average of 9 years each.

Sign the contract, then don't wear Reebok. If they take action afterwards, threaten to leave the sport again!

UFC should have gotten Under Armour as the sponsor. brand is hot as hell right now and achieving remarkable growth. that was the kind of sponsor the UFC needed.
I wonder...did under armor have any cards in the game when they decided on Reebok? I didn't read up on how everything played out around the time the Reebok deal was announced.
