Hyde fans are never escaping the allegationsand fuck the gay retards on here who defend boring shit.
BingoBlame Sean for spending more time painting his hair and nails than learning how to defend takedowns.
This has become one of the most annoying fans of mma in recent memory. It's like we're supposed to dickride every fighter and if we find them to be boring then that automatically means we don't have the nuanced expertise and knowledge to understand what they're doing and how they're effective.. NO MOTHER FUCKER, THEY'RE JUST BORING!!
There's a big difference between a highly technical, and consequential grappler who can and will consistently grapple to advance position, get a sub, and punish you with ground n pound and a grappler like Merab who not only uses shear force and physicality with minimal technique, but also just holds for as long as possible to score points.
We know what wrestling and grappling is, but you "mma experts" and "real fans" forgot what fighting is. That isn't fighting. And, when you aren't fighting, some fight fans might find you BORING.
Just want to make sure that distinction is clear. I love and appreciate grappling and dominant wrestlers. But real grapplers, who wanna finish the fight, not wet blankets. Merab can take Sean down 900 times and not get his back, what kinda grappler is that. FOH.
I don't like this

Merab is a nightmare matchup for almost anyone there's ever been.Bingo
Why are people so quick to absolve these "elite" fighters for being so absurdly outmatched in grappling
It's like man against boy
It's fucking embarrassing you can't do anything about that and your entire game is worthless
How about these "stars" take some blame and accountability for being so outstandingly shit in a vital area of the sport?
It would be like giving your NBA team a free pass because they make a few 3 pointers, but they concede on every single play
It's laughable and embarrassing. Sean and Alexa need to take a bigger share of the blame here.
They are so, so deficient in important aspects of the sport
It's like a football team whose opponent flat out tells them what play they're going to run every time, and they still can't stop it. We saw two champs who attained their titles via highly dubious and questionable means get exposed. It isn't like this approach is some brand new, never before seen innovation. I started watching UFC (again) in '06 and fighters were doing this exact same thing even then.Bingo

I am too, but that's not what was happening in the main event. Merab was inflicting punishment and advancing position, and being told he needed to "work" anyway. It’s fun y you used Khabib’s picture. He was a grappler but he was also a hyper aggressive one who was always looking to finish and advance position. He was totally relentless. there was none of this lay on your opponent in their guard for 25 min crap from him.
I do agree though. Watching someone barely try to advance positions or risk for a sub attempt or ground strikes is so, so boring and I’m tired of being called a casual for it. I don’t mind grappling at all when there’s an obvious attempt to push the pace but when there’s not, it’s insufferable.
Yeah, that was kind of bizarre. I hate Merab, don’t get me wrong but he wasn’t that bad. Not a fun fight but it was better than the Valentina one for sureI am too, but that's not what was happening in the main event. A part of me actually feels bad for Grasso that Herb didn't ref her fight.Yeah, that was kind of bizarre. I hate Merab’s , don’t get me wrong but he wasn’t that bad. Not a fun fight but it was better than the Valentina one for sure
He's draining Sean making him tired in a uncomfortable posotion and damaging his legs with knees to unfold the phisical domination gameplan. There's a big difference between a highly technical, and consequential grappler who can and will consistently grapple to advance position, get a sub, and punish you with ground n pound and a grappler like Merab who not only uses shear force and physicality with minimal technique, but also just holds for as long as possible to score points.
