Gorilla versus Lion versus Bear?

Random considerations

-Bear>Lion>Gorilla

-See many pick the polar bear due size, but large brown bears seem to be more dangerous and indimidate polars when interaction happen

-Seen a guy mention the Liger, but despite the size it does'nt seem athletic as tigers and lions (wich is related to captivity but probably genetic too)
We don't even know how they will do in the wild... they seem too heavy/slow to hunt, maybe they will bully better/faster hunters away from theyr preys? Maybe, or they will simply die

-Best lions are game as fuck, even considering the size difference i consider the best lions a match for any tiger.
Lions are kinda the TRT Dan Henderson of animal kingdom... sluggish but with crazy toughness and hbomb
Also today lions genetic pool likely suffered more than tigers from big game hunt, both ancient and more recent

-Many seem kinda "skinny" but some lions under the mane are buff like roid motherfuckers
Still bet on biggest bears, but awesome

-Gorilla is a cool dude, but is just so outmatched in both scenarios.
A leopard is already a great danger for a gorilla, and is half the size of a lion

-there seem a weird UFCvsPride like debate on lion and tigers on the internet lol, some wierdos had entire forums to argue over it lol
On positive side they provide fuckton of cool pics and anecdotes (even if many of the latter are likely false lol)

-i hate lion vs tigers zoo videos, it seem encouraged to the point of animal abuse

I don't think there is anything a grizzly bear can't destroy if it wants to.

Bull moose walks by 3 coastal Grizzlies (the big ones) and gives zero fucks. you can almost see the grizzlies look and say "fuck that. mind your business guys and let him pass"

Shortsighted analysis. You'll actually find that Silverback Gorillas have one of the most powerful bites in the game...

Silverback Gorillas have the 5th strongest bite out of all the animals. Only the Hippo and the different crocodile species have a stronger bite. Silverbacks require such a powerful bite, because they eat bamboo.

How is that it's the 5th strongest bite and only two animals have a stronger bite?

The math doesn't add up there.

Have we established yet if Power Lifters are involved, and how many of them there are?

A silverback gorilla with a gameplan would win. Precision bites at crucial arteries. Eye-gouging with opposable thumbs. Picking up and use of sharp objects such as sticks or rocks.

You give a Silverback a scimitar, and he gives you a Dinosaur head.

This is my argument.

Lions are overrated as fuck in this thread, due to the whole king of the jungle thing.

The males don't even hunt. They sit on their asses most of the time. The smaller females hunt, but they don't do it alone. They are pack hunters. They cooperate and strategize to take down prey.

A tiger would would destroy a single lion, easily. They are larger and much better equipped to surviving on their own.

Even if they were the same weight, you've got:

Bone crushing bite that will destroy or cripple any appendage with one chomp.

Vs. Blunt force from fists (takes forever to damage anything) and a much weaker bite.

The neck and hindlimbs of a T. rex is tremendous, even by theropod standards.

Outside of ape-centric movies, T. rex would tear it up.

A T-Rex only has its jaws though, nothing else. An ape has its jaws, it's hands, and it's legs. 5 weapons vs. one. If a giant ape bumrushed a T-Rex and knocked it down it would be screwed.

T-Rex is a badass solely because of its size.

Tiger would be better than lion in this. Stronger hind legs so better at swiping. With thay said in Roman times bear beats tiger 100 percent. Gorillas are pretty passive from what I've seen. So I guess bear.

Pretty fucked up regardless. @Zookeeper Gabe would know better than anyone here I am assuming.

I've ran through the scenarios many times. Here's the land animal power rankings

1. African Elephant (Bush)
2. Asian Elephant
3. African Forest Elephant
4. White Rhino
5. Indian Rhino
6. Hippo
7. Black Rhino
8. Polar Bear
9. Kodiak Bear
10. Kamchatka Bear
11. Northern Bengal Tiger
12. Siberian Tiger

No love for the Crocodile?

Or not counting it as a land animal? In the right circumstances could take everything below the elephants, imo...

It can also kick. Bum rushing a mouth full of teeth isn't a good idea. One bite and a couple of shakes = torn appendage and heavy bleeding.

Ever seen a human trying that with a croc? No, because that's stupid. Now imagine a more mobile and faster warm blooded croc.

Other theropods may actually be bigger than T. rex. But none of them are as powerful.

Gorillas rarely if ever actually injure each other in fights like this. This is how two males work their shit out, it's really not a huge deal. To the untrained eye, it's the end of one of them.

Anyone who has seen two animals try to kill each other for real isn't going to think that's what that was. I'm sure you will correct me if I'm wrong, but it's pretty rare for Gorillas in the same group to try to kill each other (although I understand that they will jump members of another group or loners with the intent to kill).

That was just two animals sortin' out the social equilibrium.

A full grown Polar Bear would annihilate a Gorilla and Lion lol

Chimpanzee would be a match for a Lion and probably a Gorilla too if caught off guard.

And am I misreading or is the T-Rex an actual pussy that can't even handle a Gorilla? If true that is sad lol
