Gorilla versus Lion versus Bear?

No guar or cape buff? An aggressive male specimen of either animal would be pretty formidable IMO.

The Ubereem of bufaloes. haha
Aware of big cattle. The Black Death is pretty fearsome. Big Wild Cattle usually have the size and the horns, but I believe they just don't have the defense and versatile and mobile arsenal to beat out bears, lions and tigers. There's footage of a bengal tiger destroying a massive Gaur on youtube.

HOWEVER - Spanish Fighting Bulls might be another story.

Those horns + that size + the ferocity...

A nasty fighting/rodeo bull will KILL lion or tiger 9/10 times.

Against a big bear Polar/Brown = tossup.

Except that siberian brown bears kill adult tigers for food, and I wouldn't want to know what a 2000 Lb male polar bear gonna do to the poor cat.

Where did you hear that? I read that it was the opposite, that tigers we killing the brown bears to eat when food sources were scarce.

But yes you have a point about the grizzly, he'd probably win just due to the immense size advantage, similar to an elephant.

This is a common argument. Very hot topic in the Carnivora community.

Here are the facts.

1. Siberian Tigers ONLY have been recorded as killing young males and females.
It is extremely rare to find one killing a full-grown male...

2. They do so generally during the Hibernation period.

3. Tigers are ASSASSINS. They ambush. They are hitmen. Masters of attacking from the shadows.
Bears are very tough warriors. They are constantly sparring with eachother... Combat Sambo/Greco-Roman style.

There was a show I belive on animal planet that done tests to see what animals would win in a fight. Not sure how reputable it is but the grizzly beat the Siberian tiger in their test. They done a lion vs a Bengal tiger and the lion won.

The $60,000 question everyone should be asking is who wins between a Gorilla and a Tyrannosaurus Rex.

If you gave a 500lb Silverback Gorilla Katana sword training, he'd wipe the competition WITH EASE.

Just look at how big these guys can get...

Yeah fighting bulls are savage and self preservation is pretty much bred out of them.

So parful.

Expert Carnivora-ologist checking in.

Silverback's are underrated. Check out this footage of a scrap between two tribe leaders.

Notice the footwork, the technique...

Why the hell would they put two silverbacks in the same enclosure?

Even if they were the same weight, you've got:

Bone crushing bite that will destroy or cripple any appendage with one chomp.

Vs. Blunt force from fists (takes forever to damage anything) and a much weaker bite.

The neck and hindlimbs of a T. rex is tremendous, even by theropod standards.

Outside of ape-centric movies, T. rex would tear it up.

Being this literal with my post...

Shortsighted analysis. You'll actually find that Silverback Gorillas have one of the most powerful bites in the game...

Silverback Gorillas have the 5th strongest bite out of all the animals. Only the Hippo and the different crocodile species have a stronger bite. Silverbacks require such a powerful bite, because they eat bamboo.

A silverback gorilla with a gameplan would win. Precision bites at crucial arteries. Eye-gouging with opposable thumbs. Picking up and use of sharp objects such as sticks or rocks.

You give a Silverback a scimitar, and he gives you a Dinosaur head.

I was triggered by king kong movies bro.

Tyrannosaurus are believed to have the strongest jaws of any land animal found thus far.

Here I even drew a picture of it years ago:

Somwhere like Discov ery. I'll post the source if I find it. Their info was similar to what @STEVEN SEAGOLD said - that tigers ambushed bears to different degrees of success, and that full grown male bears fought tigers for tigers' prey and often killed them in open combat.

"Where's the zookeepers? Where's the zookeepers?"

Bitch, what the fuck is a human going to do between 2 angry gorillas other than get ripped to shreds? Idiots.
Gorillas rarely if ever actually injure each other in fights like this. This is how two males work their shit out, it's really not a huge deal. To the untrained eye, it's the end of one of them.

Hunting is different from fighting. I could easily kill Daniel Cormier if am allowed to ambush him with a knife. But face to face? Nah. A big brown will over match a tiger face to face, but tigers kill big browns by ambushing them while they are denned up or jumping on them from above and biting thier spine. OTOH browns often steal tiger kills.

A bear is pretty much the closest thing there is to the incredible Hulk. Bear is strongest one there is. Puny cat and puny monkey not strongest.

Grizzly bears are goat

Huge bones
Thick hide
Claws
Teeth
Strength

The whole package
GOAT?
Grizzlies routinely run like shit afraid of the adult Bull Moose in Canada. Sure they like the smaller moose, calf, Caribou, etc, but Grizzlies literally avoid Bull moose with extreme prejudice.

Granted, grizzlies like to go wrestling for the head, which is absolutely NOT what to do with a bull Moose, so no wonder they avoid them. Would be interesting to see a pack of Lions vs a Bull moose. A Pack of wolves can certainly take down smaller ones. But one on one Even the most alpha lion gets killed. Siberian Tigers can hunt Adult Moose. But Siberian tiger loses to a Grizzly.

Style vs style almost like MMA lol.

In any case, is this a cagematch where we lock 2 in and see who is standing? Or will a battle of a attrition work?
