Gorilla versus Lion versus Bear?

What is it with China and what seems to be a culture of absolute and outright disregard for animal welfare?

The video in the TS' post is disturbing af.

The ppl deliberately throwing food by the lion (which looks unhealthy BTW) to provoke a fight btwn it and the bears should be thrown naked into that pit themselves along with the staff of this "zoo".

Wtf kind of zoo keeps lions and bears in the same enclosure???

Bear wins pretty handily. Even a black bear would be too much for a full sized gorilla.

I remember reading that, when the Romans would pit animal vs animal in the arena, the bear was champ with only the bull able to beat bears with any regularity. Can't cite the source but it passes my sniff test.

The best bear types go
1. Polar Bear
2. Kodiak Bear
3. Kamchatka Bear

Grolar Bears are rare.

The best tigers go
1. Northern Bengal Tigers (Biggest in the world)
2. Siberian
3. Bengal Tigers

I'd take Polar Bears, Kodiak Bears and Grizzly Bears over Lions and Gorillas pretty easily. Size and strength difference would just be too much.

I've ran through the scenarios many times. Here's the land animal power rankings

1. African Elephant (Bush)
2. Asian Elephant
3. African Forest Elephant
4. White Rhino
5. Indian Rhino
6. Hippo
7. Black Rhino
8. Polar Bear
9. Kodiak Bear
10. Kamchatka Bear
11. Northern Bengal Tiger
12. Siberian Tiger

Tigers pwn every animal in a 1x1 fight except maybe an elephant.

But of the 3 choices given, I'd have to go with lion.
You think Tigers can take on a fully grown Rhino or Hippo in a 1v1?

I'd even take Polar Bears, Kodiak Bears and Grizzly Bears over tigers tbh.

Seriously. A full-grown male African Bull Elephant in the middle of the mating season (Musth) can solo 10 tigers at once.

Musth is a period among adult male elephants, (over 15-20 years old) sometimes referred to as similar to male deer's "Rot". There is a three weeks pre-musth-condition, about one month high-musth, and one post-musth condition. Their temporal glands become swollen, from where a strong smelling fluid, rich of testosterone, runs down on their cheeks. During musth the males are very aggressive, and sexual active. According to Cynthia Moss, author of the book elephant memories, the older females in a heard gives passage to musth males when a female is in heat, while they block the way for younger males, not in musth. But males are always able to cover a female, also outside the musth period.

The reason for the musth seems to be that it prevents inbreeding. If the bulls would not be at their aggressive peak only for a month a year, only the largest, most dominant bull would cover the females all the time. In captivity, the limited space makes it dangerous to let a bull in must condition to a female, since she may be attacked and wounded if she is not willing to mate.

Most cases of elephants killing their handlers, or reports of a"rogue" wild elephant running wild through villages and attacking people, is during musth, when they get out of control, and their level of agression is high.

African Musth Bull Elephant = Ubereem x TRT Vitor x Jacked Whiteboy Lesnar

I read somewhere that in medevil times this contest was tested and the Tiger won. I think it was Tiger>Grizzley>Lion>Gorilla

This. It would be a pretty big upset if a lion/gorilla beat a prime male Grizzly. Also, the drop off after rhino's is so great, it's not even worth discussing hypotheticals between any of the top 3 vs anyone else. A Grizzly would get son'd by even an average hippo.

"Where's the zookeepers? Where's the zookeepers?"

Bitch, what the fuck is a human going to do between 2 angry gorillas other than get ripped to shreds? Idiots.

shoot tranquilizers or tazer them, I dunno what they got for safety?

All I know is the African Male lion full grown is scary as fuck. I think I would Be more afraid of being hunted by big cats. Like a tiger just snatching you out of the forest.

pretty well established that either a black or brown bear of equal or bigger size will smash a cat.

No guar or cape buff? An aggressive male specimen of either animal would be pretty formidable IMO.
