Going Rogue

So what did you have for lunch?

Well I was living on an RAF base at the time, and I was hanging out with rugby players, half of which doubled as RAF commandos....I probably had a six pack of Boddingtons and a couple shots of tequila.

The rugby team's favorite shot was a "tequila stuntman". You snort the salt, take the shot and squirt the lime in your eye....And I could NOT be more serious.

I wanted to try that too. I have to admit that I read all the t-nation articles. But the alst one had some interesting stuff in it. So yes, how did it go?

Fatty,
Sorry to do this.

Graedy,
Which article are you referring to?

Disregard, I found it.

It's a great source of Omega-3's. it also gives you teh "fishburp" or the "furp" as I like to call it.

Jackass, that's exactly why you buy enteric coated! Good work though fatty, your log is exactly why my scrawny weak ass will never have one on sherdog.

No. Right now it kind of goes something like this, but may vary depending on how I feel that day:

First 2 sets I do a pushup + jump.
Next 2 sets sets I take away away the pushup.
Next 3 sets I take away the jump and just do standard burpees.
Final set, I [try] to throw the jump back in. Today, I worked through the alarm on the last set, making it 30 seconds of burpees to finish.

I've only been doing these for 2-3 weeks and never realized just how hard they can be. If I can get to where I can do all 8 sets w/ a pushup and a jump, I'll consider it a major accomplishment.

Sets 5-7 have a push up?

What's a standard burpee. I only did these a few times. Here's what I did: start standing, drop down to the ground, then a push up, pull in knees, then jump up. Repeat.

How many in a set? What time interval/rest between sets?

I'm going to start doing these again.

Do you ever take tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil?

Basically, the burpee you described is what I try to do for as long as I can. When I gas too bad, I take away the pushup part and just keep my arms locked when I kick my legs back. Then, I take away the jump when I need to.

Tabata is a 4-minute training method in which you do a 20 second max effort set of something (doesn't have to be burpees) followed by a ten second rest (or active rest, i.e. jogging in place) set for a total of eight sets...

20-10-20-10-20-10-20-10-20-10-20-10-20-10-20

I use the little Gymboss iterval timer to time my sets, but there is a good online timer, too, that you can set to whatever intervals you want. I'll link it if I can track it down.

Oh, and no -- I don't take tablespoons of E.V. Olive Oil, but I do use it a lot.

Thanks, jk. And yes, bacon is a jackass. Something tells me he actually invented the tequila stuntman. This is why we love him so.

Mine are enteric coated, cheese tooth. You started lifting yet fucker?

And I didn't invent the tequila stuntman. I've always suspected that it was a Chevy Chase/Caddyshack derivative, but the rugby players claimed it was their idea. I haven't had tequila since my 21st b-day. 18 shots in one night = alcohol poisoning/public nudity/puked on a dog and my friends (felt bad about the dog)/two days in bed with an IV. After that, I swore off tequila for a few decades.

BTW, you log sucks fatty. It's all cluttered with BS. You need to get a handle on the gnoobs that keep posting in here..

Since I don't have a barbell at my work gym I've started doing more conditioning.

I don't have a timer or use mp3 players, just a watch. Instead of trying for max reps in 20 secs, then 10 rest, I just do a set of something every 30 seconds on the 30 second mark, call it "on the half".

4 min of Pushups, goal of 10 reps/set
3 min Situps
4 min Squats
3 min Pull Ups
2 min Plank, 30 sec on-30 off
2 min Dips
2 min Dumbell Rows 45 (2 sets each side)

Still making changes to make the routine better.

How's being a father to the child you know of? jk

I disagree, I usually skip the shit in red.

No way, man -- that's the genius of the red text. My log is really just an online public house with my workouts thrown in as an afterthought.

Can you reword this so that I may better understand your question?

You need to be more diligent in your ESL class.

All your bases are belong to Barut.

Fatty is slow today.

My blurb regarding the OT hub that is your log, was sarcasm. I never read the red shit either. In fact, I'm glad you made it red, so I know what to skip.

LP is implying that there little bastard children with golden locks and peircing blue eyes running around, parented by the "women" of your past....Basically, he called you a whore.

I recognized your sarcasm. Isn't that kind of like a given, due to the fact that I've never read anything typed by your fingers that wasn't sarcasm? And you'd better start reading the red shit or I'm going to turn it all the same color and confuse the crap out of you.

Now I understand the child comment. Perhaps I would have gotten it earlier had I really had a giant host of past conquests. Sadly, my list is not giant at all.

Voila!

Concur about the red shit.

Another engineer?

This forum is crawling with us.

English was my best subject. I hate engineering -- I should have been a zoo keeper.

That's why I voted for you, also your close to my height/weight.

Fatty's a mech. engineer, but he didn't want anybody voting for him, so I didn't.
