Going Rogue

Don't let Trainer Dave ruin you day homie. He'll spend the rest of the week (maybe longer) feeling grossly inadequate as a result of your verbal slappage.

No worries... it certainly hasn't (and won't) ruin my day. On the other hand, if I hadn't called him out, that probably would have done so.

By the way, what the fuck's up with two red posts in a row? I was feeling kind of neglected in here with the brief OT hiatus.

So can i ask, what type of routine do you have your freind Tayon doing? And how often a week do you have him training?

From what i've read hes made bad ass progress since you took him under your wing... Just curious as to what you've had him doing if it was much different than your workouts.

Sorry, I called in sick yesterday..."Anal Glaucoma". I won't let it happen again.

He does everything I do, just w/ a bit less weight, though the gap is quickly closing. It's essentially a strength program modified to fit into a five day schedule. He works 50+ hours a week and goes to school and has a five week old baby with his former girlfriend, so he really should be on a 3-day program, which I told him I'd help him with. For the time being, though, he's enjoying training w/ me and he's managing with everything else, so great.

He tells me all the time how much I mean to him and how he doesn't know what he would do if he hadn't had me to mentor him, but I think that's crap. The bottom line is he shows up everyday and every day he shows up, he works his ass off.

All I've done is taught him the proper way to train and eat; the right exercises, techniques, etc. Yes, it's something, especially at a commercial gym where you're surrounded by a lot of people who know nothing, but if you're not willing to work, then all the tutelage in the world will get you nowhere.

Wow, Fatty. You sound knowledgable. Perhaps you should make it official...

What's funny is that I've entertained the idea of getting an NSCA/CSCS cert in the past just for the sake of having it. Then, I read KW's post about the business card he had back when he would train people.

Keith Wassung said:
I used to carry a business card that said:

Keith Wassung
Impersonal Trainer
Non-Certified
No Credentials

The phone never stopped ringing

That pretty much sealed it for me.

On a more emotional note, I kinda know how Tayon feels. I'd kill to have someone around here. I'd think of Bacon as my best friend (11 years and running), mentor, and go-to guy. He's all my role model and stuff. (Seriously he's the most determined and focused guy I've ever known.)

/gaydar off

P.S. hey fatty, do you do any grip or levering training?

It's cool fatty, you can still come to Vegas. Don't mind jk, he's a bit of a nervous chap....what with only one good eye and all...

yeah, yeah I know....I'm goin to hell. Heard that before.

Dave sounds like a cum-guzzler. Why do those fucktard trainers bother getting certified if all they're going to do is plop some walrus on a swiss ball? You should challenge him to a lifting contest in front of his clients everytime you see him. He trains for a living, right? You're just a pencil-pushing, engineering, soccer player. Word the challenge just like that. I'm coming to Detroit to fuck this guy up.

Funny trainer story. One of the mt trainers in my old gym would do some personal training on the side. I saw him making a 45 year old woman box squat while he cussed at her with awe inspiring ability. Sailors cried.

Chalk up another great sig thanks to Barut.

*wipes coffee off of screen*

I would pay to see that.

I saw him doing it between rounds of sparring. She acted like she appreciated the motivation.

The only way that could possibly be cooler is if it was his mother.

I have to go to a commercial gym. And I will do so some time in the future. I will do some testtraining. Of course I will wear my "liftingshorts" (pics in my log soon). And afer the instructioen I will just do a set of 20rep squats with my best frined screaming at me. This is gonna be great...
Now I will go over to my log and write about the other group of guys that we often me at the rowingclub weightroom...

I thought you were a bit pissed and of course Bacon wasn't around to take the fall, so no posts from me either.

Along with JK's comment, I also wish I had a lifting mentor. It's hard to check your form when you don't know exactly what to look for.

Instead I have a bunch of tri mentors who don't know shit about lifting and let me tell you how boring tri training is when you go past a sprint.

Don't you know that you don't take a swing at your role model (at least you know you need to train more).

Dam I feel bad for you, that i looks like shit. Probably hurts worse.

Looking at the last pic of your eye, reminded me of myself after a hard night of drinking followed by a Chili Relleno burrito followed by puking in the bath tub with my pants around my ankles. Of course this led me to blowing out my eye from puking so hard.

Christ, jk, would you quit gayin' up my log? bacon tried to KILL YOU and he damn near succeeded from what I can tell! Have some pride, mang.

As for the grip work, yeah, I do some, but it's usually after hours at home and not very structured... levering my 8 lb. maul, COC grippers, hanging weights from PVC pipe caps and doing pinch holds, etc.

He knows better than to accept a challenge from me unless he is even more arrogant than I thought. I think a Tayon vs. fucktard challenge would be excellent since fucktard would have everything to lose as a long-time know-it-all trainer against a kid that's only been lifting for half a year. And Bort, I would love for you to come to Detroit to fuck him up.

Trainer Dave, this is my e*friend, Bort. He's here to strict press you for oh, let's say 7-8 reps before delivering a thai kick to your groin. Enjoy, fucktard.

By the way, I thought you moved to Kentucky, yet your location still says Utah. What's the deal?

Ha! Don't be ridikorous, LP. I stated earlier that this is my log/public house. Plus, I never get pissed off. :icon_twis (<--- I hate those, but it just seemed fitting in this case.)
