Usyk? Fury & Joshua are much more popular. The only reason he doesn't have more fights at heavyweight is because he started his career at cruiserweight and remained there until he cleaned out the division. Another thing is that he usually only fights once a year. This is the first time since 2018 that he'll have fought twice in a year.

i meant fury, ya, he's not the champ i know, but he's the main face of the division for the last few years. Kinda ridiculous.

A lot of fans and the industry itself really want Fury vs Joshua. It's still a bigger fight than Fury vs Usyk even though Joshua just got KO'd in his last fight. Several years ago there wasn't a bigger fight in boxing.

watching the first fury-usyk fight again now, fury's hands did look faster than I remember, he won the first but all those antics just show he's not confident to me. I'm too hard on Fury but there's reasons for that.

Fury's hands did look fast. That was surprising. What could explain the transformation between the Ngannou fight and Usyk? Actually training for his opponent combined with PEDs. We know Fury is no stranger to them (nandrolone).

i didn't consider that, i don't know if there is a ped that helps handspeed. we know he took them though. maybe it's because he lost weight, (if he did). So far, i'm four rounds in, neither guy really is throwing a whole lot and Fury has the edge, all the while making the smaller guy press. Fury not fighting a southpaw the way that the experts always said, he's fights just like he would a regular fighter but his jab isn't really landing or anything and he's not throwing any hooks.

no doubt about it in my mind, he won the first half of the fight. Neither guy is really doing a lot effective but Tyson is landing the better punches, a few solid uppercuts. Usyk has already complained about behind the head shots a few times, I never think that's good unless the blows are just so repetitive and damaging that they shouldn't be ignored.

Usyk got off to the better start in the fight. Fury started coming on in round 4 or 5 I believe. This is typical of an Usyk fight to lose the middle rounds. As Andre Ward says, the fight doesn't really start until the second half. That's where Usyk shines.

ya know, i'm at the point he got knocked down in, as soon as he threw that silly combo i thought, "uh oh" because it was a lot like the pitter patter that Ali threw at Frazier in the 11th round, just play punches, way too close to the guy to be throwing play punches.

I hate to say it, Fury can win the rematch, this fight was close and Fury is really making the fight up to the point I'm watching. He still does so many stupid things that he'll probably find a way to lose again. But, the non-dramatic parts of the fight he's winning. how can usyk be unbeatable, he could have lost the last fight without the big round and the momentum change, that was a competitive fight. Fury can win it, i just don't think he will. He'll do some great things and then, he'll do what he usually does, inexplicably throw a monkey wrench into it all to make it hard for himself. problem is, Fury is hard to like and he's hard to root for, that's why we don't wanna see the guy win. Ok, he's not a bad guy but is he the guy we want as the champ? Usyk is professional, humble, consistent, predictable, then we have Fury who will go lengths to find a way to fuck himself over.
