I have to think this talk of fighting straight boxing or kick boxing is just bullshit his team is coming up with to make it seem like they have a ton of interest. No mma fighter is going to walk into a sport that is purely striking and dominate at a level that would make walking away from mma a good idea unless they got some ridiculous one off payday like McGregor vs Mayweather. There's also no realistic chance of that happening with Tyson Fury. Francis does not have 1/10 the star power Conor did going into the fight with Mayweather. Tyson Fury is also nowhere near the name value of Mayweather. I don't see any spot for Francis other than Bellator where he will have a comfortable existence killing guys for easy pay days and getting sponsorship on the side.

Yes.. he looked great in the Stipe rematch just to become a panic wrestler against Gane.
It was like 2x the most disappointing thing that could’ve happened… firstly because the JBG’s thirst wouldn’t be quenched that fight and secondly it became evident that Gane was hiding sheitt tier TDD. Hence he would likely be fooked against guys like Blaydes or maybe even JBJ depending on if he’s actually been training.

BREAKING: Francis Ngannou in talks with Rollerball CEO Marcus Ridley to play for the Zhambel Horsemen.

Robbie Timmers, GLORY Kickboxing matchmaker & head of talent, revealed in two Dutch combat sports podcasts that they’re in talks with Francis Ngannou.

Robbie said Francis was interested in kickboxing and that he and his team were very positive about what GLORY has to offer, also in terms of contractual conditions (I assume he’s talking about a non-exclusive contract here, so that Ngannou is free to do whatever he wants outside of fighting for GLORY, something the UFC wouldn’t offer him).
According to Robbie, at the moment the biggest obstacle is a financial agreement. As of now Ngannou and GLORY are not aligned in terms of his pay, but they’re working on it.

If I hear anything relevant regarding the negotiations, I’ll post it in this thread

I heard they're negotiating through a hole in the wall. Problem is Black Francis isn't sure if it's a guy or girl.

Now what if, and hear me out here, Francis negotiated a low seven figure deal with them for a fight or two? A non exclusive deal so he could still pursue a boxing match. He gets some cash while he's working out a boxing deal, and if he goes off and kos a legit kickboxer that would raise his stock even more.

I don't know if they could match UFC money, but maybe the increased flexibility would be enough for him.

He sleeps Rico. Would be awesome. The money is in boxing though if he's smart.

Not happening. As has already been pointed out, the money isn't there. Of course, I would watch him kickbox, but with his knees, his mobility would be limited, and he would likely get targeted at weak points. They are just using this for free publicity.

Yeah
There's a clip in the comments here of Francis in a kickboxing match sir.
He looks pretty good.
Yeah, I watched it. Looked good, better movement than some of his UFC fights when he was just trying to land some bombs.

I think the takedown worried him in MMA.
He doesn't have to worry about that in kickboxing.
Hell even his leg kicks were solid.

Yeah good point on the takedown. But he also fell in love with sending people to the shadow realm. Smaller gloves really helped him there. Cheers

He's also about 40lbs heavier nowadays.
You're right about the tiny gloves though.

lol
U think he left the UFC to go make even less money in glory <Prem973>

Lol if this is where he goes after all this
I would assume he's really lobbying for a boxing pay day then looking at the pfl
It's perfect for him
Knock easy fools out
Earn 1 million a year

Could we possibly get a rematch or Ngannou vs Ubereem this time?
