He doesn’t have to choose between mma, boxing, kickboxing or even orgs. Pretty sure he won’t get locked down after experiencing what he did with the UFC. He could box and then do a match in Glory and then in mma and not necessarily in that order.

So he left without a plan/deal already in place. What?

LOL As if I couldn't do it. I'm literally telling you "he said it". How could it not be verifiable? Here you go:

13:16 Listen what he answers there

I'm not looking at the other quote. Do your own research.

Dude... I was agreeing with you talking about Motivated BJ Penn....

I have to think this talk of fighting straight boxing or kick boxing is just bullshit his team is coming up with to make it seem like they have a ton of interest. No mma fighter is going to walk into a sport that is purely striking and dominate at a level that would make walking away from mma a good idea unless they got some ridiculous one off payday like McGregor vs Mayweather. There's also no realistic chance of that happening with Tyson Fury. Francis does not have 1/10 the star power Conor did going into the fight with Mayweather. Tyson Fury is also nowhere near the name value of Mayweather. I don't see any spot for Francis other than Bellator where he will have a comfortable existence killing guys for easy pay days and getting sponsorship on the side.
It's more posturing by GLORY than Francis IMO
They want to get their name out there using his.
Just like when BKFC offered Mike Tyson a contract knowing full well it was BS to get press

in your dreams, i dont watch "points fights" like boxing
Hold up a minute, then I know you don't watch the UFC right?? - point fighting central with the world's worst judges.
Last I checked Tyson Fury has 24 KO wins out of 33 fights - of course along with pay, level of competition and years as an established sport, boxing is light years ahead of MMA.

It would be interesting for us as fans, but I don't think they can pay him enough to get butchered. He probably wants a fat bag from Boxing and he's right back too MMA after a 1 off detour. He's just getting an idea of what he's worth imo.

I voted yes, but that's more for my personal viewing pleasure. Imagine the face on Overeem if he signs, lol.

Interesting. Then Francis will probably do alright. The gloves will hurt him a bit though.
Doubt it, they would only help his rudimentary defense. His power isn't going anywhere, it's Deontay Wilder like. A few more OZ's isn't doing dick to those Ford Escorts doggie.

I still don't like his chances against world class heavyweights, just saying the gloves won't be a detriment, but rather his rudimentary kickboxing.

No doubt that’s where he’ll get his 30 mil
Glory got that kinda money!?
I'm not a kickboxing guy usually, maybe someone else knows. How likely is it that glory would pay the kind of money he would want.
I would say @BoxerMaurits is the guy to answer that sir.
Does that matter? It’s interesting yeah so not trying to dig you out on it, but know where I’m coming from? If he’s happy to do it and it pays ‘enough’ then all gravy.
GLORY doesn’t have that kinda cheddar do they?
I always thought of glory as broke, what is their highest paid to guy?
Glory isn't getting you the payday you want Ngannou
If he ends up in Glory then he almost certainly made a big mistake, I doubt Glory will offer him more than the UFC did.
Not happening. As has already been pointed out, the money isn't there. Of course, I would watch him kickbox, but with his knees, his mobility would be limited, and he would likely get targeted at weak points. They are just using this for free publicity.
If you’re a champion or big name you get very good money in kickboxing.
GLORY paid their fighters a total of €1.625 million for the Badr Hari vs Alistair Overeem event (9 fights on the card), and I assume Badr and Reem took the lion’s share of that money. Also, this number doesn’t include PPV-points.

Both Badr Hari and Rico Verhoeven live a very wealthy lifestyle. So yeah I’m sure GLORY could and would pay Ngannou an insane amount of money in terms of kickboxing pay, but that would probably still not be the kind of money Ngannou looking for since he wants to get paid like Tyson Fury..

Now what if, and hear me out here, Francis negotiated a low seven figure deal with them for a fight or two? A non exclusive deal so he could still pursue a boxing match. He gets some cash while he's working out a boxing deal, and if he goes off and kos a legit kickboxer that would raise his stock even more.

I don't know if they could match UFC money, but maybe the increased flexibility would be enough for him.
As far as the most impressive accomplishment outside of UFC, Glory has to be the top of the list. Oh sure maybe he could get a hail mary punch on Wilder or Fury, but really that's not feasible for him to win a contest there. All the mma orgs outside of UFC mostly have weak HWs, it's not too impressive to become a champ in any of them when he's already been UFC champ, maybe Bader would be a decent win but that's it. If he won a tourney or a mega fight in K1 he'd get more respect for stand up, and that's the only way I think Ngannou could look better outside of UFC.

Exactly this, spot on guys

I think Overeem failed a PED test in his kickboxing return - I defer to @BoxerMaurits for the details.

With regards to Ngannou, he could have fun slobber-knockers in kickboxing but someone like Verhoeven would piece him up.
Reem tested positive, but is still awaiting the result of his B-sample (which might come back negative for all I know, but I don’t think so lol. Time will tell)

Wherever Ngannou signs, I just hope it's easy to watch here in the UK!

But good for Glory, might as well go for the biggest names

I'd love to see Glory on a proper channel here in the UK
This was how to watch GLORY 83, their last event 3 weeks ago:

Oh.. no way Francis gets the Gazillion dollars he wants per fight in Glory.

Also guys like Jamal Ben Saddik would mop the floor with him.
Yeah JBS can bang bro.
Him vs Ngannou would be a great fight for sure. Someone is getting KTFO

The guy is just shopping around to see who will pay him the most.
Whoever he signs with he better do it quick. Every day he doesn’t fight or have something lined up his worth is going down. Especially after tomorrow night when the UFC has a new HW poster boy to parade around.
He doesn't seem to have a clear vision. Just a number he's aiming for. Dog and bone fable.

I'd watch the shit out of Ngannou vs Verhoeven (is he still champion?). Not the money fight Ngannou is looking for but a very intriguing fight nontheless.
Yeah Rico is still champion and was scheduled to defend his title against Antonio Plazibat in June, but unfortunately he got seriously injured (knee). Now Plazibat will fight for the interim belt and GLORY is doing an 8-man tournament in December plus four 4-man qualifier tournaments throughout the year. This year will for sure shake things up in GLORY’s heavyweight-division and I’m curious where Rico will end when we’re closing out 2023. Hopefully they’ll do a unification fight aside of the Grand Prix before the year ends.

Don't see how he can make a lot of money there. He only defended his title once in the UFC. Should have established himself more.

If you wonder how Ngannou looks in a k1 fight, here is one (2015):

I mean, it's ok but where is the legendary "ford scort" power? That other guy was literally a punching bag and Francis couldn't put him away. Imagine him fighting a legit top boxer: not even a puncher's chance lmao

Francis needs to cut the shit and fight Jake Paul in BKFC. Or better yet, Shia Leboeuf. That would make megabillions.

Glory got that kinda money!?

Nope, their HW Champ Rico Verhoeven makes about 500k.

I think this is probably just to help Francis with his boxing negotiations to show he has options.

But no way in hell do Glory even match UFCs $8m offer, nevermind the crazy money he's asking for boxing.
