Feed Ian Garry to Morales

He’s pretty good at avoiding the fight and edging out point karate decisions. He’s also pretty bad at finishing fights and winning decisively, which is a problem Morales doesn’t seem to have.
If you look at Shavkat he had finished all his opponents until he fought Garry. In fact, I'm pretty sure he finished all his opponents within 3 rounds. Ian took him to a 5 round 48-47 decision.

To go further, I think Prates was only like a 9 fight streak with all finishes until he fought Ian recently, or something like that.

Relax. Morales best wins are 38 year old fading gilbert burns, and washed Neil magny. He's feasting on aging fighters, which he should do as the much younger guy.

Back when Colby was beating older fighters, he got constant criticism for it...even though Burns, Edwards and Belal were doing the same thing. So now it's what all younger fighters and contenders should do? I've seen Buckley and now Morales being praised for it.

If it weren't for double standards, Sherdog would have no standards at all

Although I think Morales beats a lot of contenders right now let alone in 5 years, Garry is a pain in everyones ass and Morales is too green for him right now

Sure, but unlike Ian, Morales has stopping power.

JDM got a title shot for losing to Hafez and getting dominated by a washed up Burns… let the young guys clear out the fluff like Edwards, Belal, Jdm , etc

I'd like JDM to fight a young guy next, too. Unfortunately, when you have all the young guys clear out the aging fighters, by the time the young guns face eachother, they're no longer the young guys lol.

Leon got subbed by Sean Brady, he needs to fight down and Morales would be a great choice of opponent
That would be a great fight. I think Leon’s defense is better at this point than burns, but I think the size, power and relentless ness might be a big factor in that fight. I could see Leon getting finished later in the fight.

I think Morales could brutalize Garry if Garry goes into scared bitch mode like he did at the end of the Prates fight.

I dont know what is next for the guy but Im happy to see him in the mix.

I've underestimated Garry in a few fights now, but he's made a believer out of me.

He's so tall and rangey, and very good defensively.

I don't think Morales has the technique to beat him, his only chance is to land a bomb on him, and Ian has proven thus far that it's easier said than done.

That said, I'd watch the shit outta that fight if it happened.

Morales is young athletic entertaining. WW dynamic now. UFC can use him to top up a card with a recent highlight finish. Not sure who will want to face him but great to have him in the mix. To early to tell. Need to see how dust settles in coming weeks. Eventually there should be an opening.

Definitely the fight to make, awesome fight and the winner is an immediate contender. Shavkat/Brady for the next title shot after Islam.

Sheesh.

Garry is for real.

Garry just fought Shavkat and a hungry young wolf in Prates and beat him easily, until the last round, he needs a top-5 opponent.
He beat him in a point karate contest, but if judging the entire fight objectively he got his ass kicked. Only one fighter absorbed real damage in that fight, and that was Ian.
