I am guessing this got moved from the heavies.
It's funny how Vince's post is of the same caliber as all the other heavies. Ripptoe is good but he's by no means a god, and yes majority of new lifters should read his book, if only as a reference.
Fedor's goal is to win fights, he does not give a fuck if he cant lift a broom...
But yes lets all compare how average joes and new/intermediate fighters should train based on the best fighter to step into the mma ring(ok perhaps exaggeration from my limited mma knowledge but I stand by it)
How he looks plays no role in his performance....sure he could probably tighten up his diet...but as it does not affect his performance....why bother? perhaps he likes to kick back with a couple of beers or ahve some greasy russian food...
