Fedor's training

BTW, judging from the way you write, I highly doubt you attended any type of institution of higher learning.

Wasn't aware Sherdog was a "MMA training website."

"Strength & Power Discussion"

We discuss strength & power. How that strength & power is applied is one's own business.

It's pretty clear that Sherdog is an MMA website. You're posting in the discussion forums of an MMA website. Yes it's S&P, but you genuinely don't think that there's a sizable percentage of posters whose S&P is with MMA or MA training in mind?

Seriously?

Maybe he was making the distinction between a "MMA training website" and a "MMA website"?

We should take a vote.

If you like the forum the way it is, with strength as the ultimate goal, say "AAAaargh!"

If you'd like the forum to change to whatever the fuck nomilkforsanta wants, just go fuck yourself.

Fuckin LOLZ!!

That should be the vote in the Pub I think.

Anyone have examples of how much Fedor eats in a day? I know he eats whatever he wants but I'm just curious how much calories he's taking in. Kind of reminds me of Michael Phelps eating 10k cals when he was in the Olympics.

Wrong forum.

You'll need to ask that in the Dieting and Supplements section of the forum. I've provided a link for you.

Now THAT'S some power eating right there...

Santa never get caught in an argument with a philosophy grad(am I remembering correctly enright?), you will lose, look like a total dickhead, and lose all and any credibility. For some reasons all the philosophy grads I have known ahve been great at debating.

If you can afford top trainers then by all means go ahead.

Most people who come here are beginners to strength/power training so the advice given will be often general and simple.

Dont like it? there are plenty of other websites or start threads and dialogue that interests you.

The reason Fedor is pudgy is because he joined Sherdog and his first post was something like

"Hey I'm a fighter and I'm looking to loose a little weight from my stomach area. I don't do squats or deadlifts, but I train several times a week"

Then everyone flamed him for 10 pages and he gave up.

I LOL'd!!!

i wrote about this. the most i can calculate micahel phelps eating in a day is 6k.

You're kidding right? His IHOP breakfast alone is like 4k calories. Tack on his energy drink consumption and you're already pushing the high 5000's.

No guys, he's totally right.

There's meathead strength training for dumb jocks who want to tear open tennis balls and there's MMA strength training.

The way it works is:
To get stronger for armbars, you try to arm bar a guy holding your max effort weight, 5x reps. So like, he lays on the ground, you side mount him and then while he's holding a 25 pound plate, you try to arm bar him. Increase weight to gain more strength. I'm pretty sure Rickson Gracie and Nogueira can do the "Arm Pull" 125 pounds x5.

For striking, you hold a dumb bell in each hand and punch a punching bag. Increase weight as needed.

Geez... I thought you guys knew.
