Fedor's GnP was insane

You're forgiven. But i still fail to see the relevance of your comment. Hunt wasn't ko'd in his prime.
Yes the second before manhoef knocked him out he left his prime.

Cool story bro. It's an interesting stat to point out but you framed the whole post strangely. Sure, he didn't have a high finish % against top opponents but to me that tells me that he was capable of going the distance when he needed to all while being a vicious finisher as well.

The fact he does have some great finishes against good opposition while also having some big decision wins is a strength, not a weakness.
I am not stating it as a weakness and agree with your view.

It is just so many when they talk about Fedor in regards to other Goat candidates tout his finish rate while not factoring in most of his finishes came against the cans and he was basically 50/50 to go to decision against his best comp in his prime.

I have nothing against decisions and don't think they are an inferior win.

i don't really see anyone in any weight class smash people like that. i think the closest in recent memory was Khabib on Conor

If Khabib had played a little less safe throughout his career I think we would have seen beatings like that and he would be spoken about in a different way.
He was a bit slower in his weight class and lacked the striking, but his ground game was like fedor's. thhe main difference is instead of sitting in guard, khabib did it from the leg lace position he used.

When it suits Sherdogs case though literally every fighter at HW besides Nog and Crocop becomes a "can", it just become a bit of a joke now.

But even fedor wasn’t able to replicate that depending on his opponents defense. Cro-cop spent half the fight on the bottom without taking much damage.

It's called watching tape and making a gameplan not to get crushed. You know the difference between offensive open guard and double wrist control Nog used in the first fight compared to the tight, defensive closed guard while hugging Fedor tight used by Mirko? Obviously what Mirko used is harder to GnP through. That's why Nog was able to throw up submissions and reverse Fedor while Mirko wasn't. Not only are you a shill but also a noob lol

Yeah, but then you have people saying how much better guys are today, and people like us that seen it happen know different.

That era with heavyweights being in that 220-240 range was the best. Just a completely different level of athlete and legit baddest man on the planet.
This era has a lot of guys in the 260+ range. Yes we probably get more first round KO's, but I always feel like HW fights are 50/50 now.

31-1 in HW against top opponents (whatever people want to say in hindsight). Does anyone really look at those opponents and think that Stipe, DC, even Jon Jones or Francis make it through that gauntlet undefeated? Then continue fighting for 10 years and go 40-6?
Stipe is 20-4
DC is 22-3
Jones is 26-1 (Closest to Fedor, but has less HW fights than Dan Hooker)
Francis is 17-3
All need 25 fights to even get to the same numbers of matches, let alone continue winning for the next 10 years as the fight all those fights.
No one is going to equal it especially at HW.

A green Werdum subbed prime Fedor. And no you don't grt to decide when a fighters prime ends based on when it suits their record.
And btw Werdum isn't even a top 3 UFC heavyweight goat.

Werdum was a 7 year veteran and wasn't green and Fedor was 5 years past his prime and had 30 fights in 10 years by the time he lost to Werdum. Keep shilling.

It was fun while it lasted. Werdum showed there were big holes in Fedor's GnP.

Then Bigfoot Silva gave Fedor a lesson in GnP.

Which made Fedor go back to fighting middleweights.

Yea because Fedor of 2011 was the same guy he was in 2003-2005.

And Conor of 2022 is the same Conor of 2014.

Scummy dummy shill..
