But Prime Fedor was monstrous and I'd put my money on him over literally any other MMA fighter at LHW or HW at their prime. Jon Jones? Cormier? Nganou? Stipe? Brock Lesnar? Cain? JDS? Carwin? Ubereem? Mir? Barnett? Couture? Liddell? Shogun? Anderson Silva? Wand? Rampage? I think Prime Fedor beats them all.

Normally I'd expect the favoritism angle too this being sherdog. But I'm familiar with TS he just really likes polls and discussions. I think he just wanted to keep the convo going, instead of just redo the voting until his guy wins.

Outside of this small forum in the corner of the internet you wouldn't even know Fedor existed, and while GSP is occasionally mentioned, outside of sherdog and probably Canada he's never mentioned as being greater than Jones, and anyone who even mentions Fedor isn't even worth arguing with.

Holy shit, I just broke the 95 to 95 tie. This is as close as I've ever seen one of these polls. And these are my two picks for GOAT. GSP is the quintessential mixed martial artist, he had all the skills and he used them all so seamlessly and every aspect of his game was at the elite level. But GSP and everyone else, they're in one pile, and we can rank them all here or there based on whatever criteria we want...and then Fedor stands alone. There have been tons of great basketball players, but there's only one Michael Jordan. There have been tons of great hockey players, but there's only one Wayne Gretzky. There have been tons of great MMA fighters, but there's only one Fedor.
