Eternal Sumo thread

Solid group of Ozeki we got.
At least one of them might get double digit wins.

If Hoshoryu can maintain a 12 - 3 record with a Yusho, he might not be promoted but he can keep his Yokozuna run alive for March.

I hear Uncle has been trolling him online.

I'm just hoping for a KK run at this point.
I hear Uncle has been trolling him online.
Yeah, saw the tweets. Hoshoryus biggest motivation to reach yokozuna is to get away from uncles trolling

I don't mind ozeki being the highest position for a while. They just said months ago Onosato will be the one to reign next but I don't think he's ready to constantly earn 75 wins a year.

Takerufuji is an absolute gorilla. I don't even understand how you can push a 400lbs man with one arm while you're leaning back also and without pushing from the legs.

Hoshoryu doing all he can to manage that 12 - 3
Takerufuji strength is indeed real impressive.

Kirishima has put together a very strong string of wins after a rough start.

5 guys with over 10 wins - Hosh, Oho, Kinbozan, Kirishima and Takerufuji.
interesting final 2 days.

I hope Hoshoryu wins to keep his Yokozuna hopes alive for March but I'd really like seeing Kirishima win and another Takerufuji yusho would be great too

Oh and Kotozakura kadoban, after winning the previous tournament.
these guys...

Hoshoryu's Yokozuna hopes rest on Oho of all people.
This is a lesson in the cost of losing to Shodai. Nephew looked good throwing out Takerufuji though.

Nervewrecking Hoshoyusho, wow.
Final being the nephew of a yokozuna vs the grandson of a yokozuna. impressive stuff. Uncle tweeted his joy, but will probably yell a bit at him through the phone for losing 3 times.

i wonder if the sumo powers that be are so desperate for a yokozuna that they'll promote Hosh, technically he got 14 wins lol.

Very cool basho.

Man the determination of Hoshoryu today was impressive. Kinbozan and Oho were very strong this basho and nephew wouldn't back down
