Donald Trump's 10 Point Immigration Plan

Immigration is just fine. There is nothing to address.

I've never been a fan of the wall, as there is truly no need for an entirely new, state-of-the-art wall. There's tons of techonolgy out on the border, to include sensors, and some pretty nifty equipment which agents have at their disposal.

What needs to be revised are current asylum policies. 90% of the people who present themselves at the border are simply taking advantage of a loophole.

There's no need to climb a fence these days...just show up at the port of entry, claim you're afraid of the gangs in your region (and make something up about not being able to relocate to another town, or state), spend a month, or two in a detention center (hot meals and accommodations provided), get issued a notice to come to court about a year from now...then dissapear!

Ok, fair enough. If your choices was this plan in full or the status quo...would you take the wall if you could get everything else?

Policies, policies, policies. That's all it boils down to, Brother.

If you've lived near a border town (preferrably Southwest), you'd know what I mean.

I didn't read the rest on the list, only because I know it all boils down to drastically changing current policies.

Current policies benefit EVERYONE, except U.S. citizens and their cities/country.

I don't understand your objection to 2. Why can't you say the same for regular criminals? It's too unrealistic and too expensive to catch criminals and deal with them accordingly, just let them go...

Why are we making a distinction between one criminal, someone who is here illegally, and another, someone who breaks any other law?
We don't put all criminals in jail. We don't put most non-violent criminals in jail, especially not as long as it can take to deport someone. There are 11.4 million illegal immigrants. Each one you detain costs about $120/day after you buiild the infrastructure to have 11.4 million prison cells.

Yes, not all criminals go to jail, but those that do are involved in a lengthy process. Perhaps the solution is to quicken the deporting process instead of aborting it altogether.

To bad the americans who pay the illegals poor wages want them here right lol. These american companies love them.
As long as there are illegals to pay, we'll never be able to fix those wages either.

I know they do.. I just never see Americans doing the same. Every pan handler i see though happens to be american lol.
Yeah, you just pointed out part of the problem. Too many americans can't make a living wage doing blue collar jobs partially because illegals keep wages down on jobs like landscaping and cleaning etc.

Illegals employed by legals.

The source of the problem is rich American businesses who want to maximize their profit.

I'm not saying that doesn't need correcting. But the only problem with this isn't just the "rich americans." If there weren't so any illegals, they wouldn't be so easy to take advantage of.

Exactly. The american people love to blame the illegals when its the neighbors hiring them lol.

If there weren't any jobs available to the "illegals" they wouldn't be here.

I agree the contractors who employ illegals and/or keep immigrants on the books after their visas expire should be hunted down and punished. But coming into this country illegally is against the law so you can't be without blame if you go that route. Illegals must take that blame, and they do because they want to be here. We don't need people like you defending their crime.

Its symbiotic. Take away the paid jobs that legal Americans offer illegally and the problem dissolves. One crime is to survive and earn a living and the other is increasing profit margins.

The end product of no illegals working would be higher cost of living for every legal American in every facet of life. Until then quit your bitching or at least direct it to the true culprits, -> Americans.

You're taking a step back. Those jobs are there because Americans can't earn a living wage doing them. The bleeding hearts are fine with illegals making shit wages for some reason, though while insisting they also qualify for welfare.

Who is blaming illegals? Most people would, if they found themselves in such a position, try to come to America for a better life. That's neither here nor there.

The problem can't be deduced to one single source, but, there is one rather large problem with this whole conversation- a large portion of Americans think it's okay that people come here illegally, or can't be bothered to care once they're here.
