Does Weili Stand a Realistic Chance Against Shevchenko?

Of course not.

Zhang is great, but she barely beat Joanna in a striking match.

Meanwhile, Shev clowned Joanna in a striking match and actually started to look bored.

If Zhang started having any success on the feet - which is very likely - Shev would just take her down easily and womanhandle even easier.

Love Zhang but there's levels to this, and she is not on Shev's by any means.

She's also smaller. Valentina is used to beating up women who compete at 135 or even 145, and still dominate them.

I would have said no before seeing a pretty meat and potatoes Maia give Shevchenko more trouble than wed expect.
I think this is a case of if you don't meet unrealistically high expectations, then you're not that good. Maia laid on her for like three minutes and got demolished everywhere for the other twenty-two.

Historically there are two types of fighters which Shev has been struggling with.

First type is strong grappler who can out-grapple Shev. One of Shev's bad tendencies is grappling with everyone even when she shouldn‘t. Nunes won the first fight against her by out-grappling Shev for two rounds, and both Pena and Maia has limited success in the clinch.

Second type is long-range striker with excellent TDD. This is Nunes' game plan in her second fight against Shev. Shev is too passive in striking exchange to get into the pocket, so she got stuck on the outside and ate lots of kicks from Nunes.

Zhang is neither of the two types, so I think Shev can shut down her everywhere.

Against the likes of Maia, Eye and Carmouche etc yeah, you put Zhang against all Valentinas opponents and I'm pretty sure she'd beat them too.

The common opponent they had in JJ, Zhang did far more damage in 5 rounds than Valentina did over 2 sports.

Obviously I'm more a fan of Zhang so take my opinion with that in mind. But Valentina lost her title shot at 135 then ducked to a smaller less stacked division. She's also ducking Nunes like the plague currently.
She caused a huge bump on her forehead, damage? sure, but it was more of a visual thing than doing actual damage, i mean its damage, but it was not deep/injury damage, not even muscular.

You never know, but probably not. As it stands currently Shevchenko, and Nunes are just on a tier of their own.

They are both counter pressure fighters. It will be a clinch/grind/ground fucking match for 15 out of the 25 minutes.

Have you people not seen enough matchups where you have two counter pressure fighters?

The definition of insanity is repeating the same thing and expecting a different result.

I expect Shev to beat anyone and everyone(bar Nunes of course), but Zhang would have a better chance than anyone else I can think of. I want to see it but not yet, or really any time soon to be honest.
