Movies Do You Still Go To The Movie Theater?

Last one I went to was Thunderbolts.
Is not too pricey, like in the US.
One I really enjoyed was Dune 2 on big screen.

Was prolly more memorable cause of the microdose of shrooms though.
Be nice to leave a room with this impression.
Madhi swag & what not.

I watched Thunderbolts* in the cinema last week. That was the first time I'd gone to the cinema since Deadpool 3 last year.

It has to be a film that, for whatever reason, I really want to see it on a big screen. Otherwise I'll just wait until it streams.

I miss going to the movies. I love the experience, but streamers are putting out such better content nowadays. I have an OLED, a surround system and my bourbon bar in my den so I haven't seen a film in the theater since TG Maverick and that was the first one in years.

I go about once a month. I either go to matinees, or on nights where they have deals. I stick to theaters in nice areas and better staffs. I still enjoy the big screen, but I think it is going the way of the mall. Too expensive, too many rude people that annoy you.

The worst thing about cinemas is the selfish behaviour of other patrons unfortunately

I more prefer going to see independant and local films at the community theaters, as you are getting a unique experience every time, you are supporting local artists and if you engage enough with people and rub shoulders its kinda cool to watch movies made by your friends.

I haven't gone to see a hollywood movie since the last star wars movie. That might have been the last straw

The Last Straw, last Jedi whatever!

Honestly, I’m loving the twilight years of cinema. It’s sad that they are dying off, but there’s just something to having a theater to yourself or with a few other people.

Was at a theater in Cleveland watching Kill Bill. Some fat bitch starting laughing when the bride got shot in probably the only serious part of the whole movie. Kill Bill was shit but the feeling of hating a crowded theater has always stuck with me.

Remember when Steve Buscemi got shot in the face in Fargo? 😁

That's how I have been for about the last decade +. I just don't like crowds, so it has to be something I really want to see for me to go.

Might catch Ballerina on the big screen, and will absolutely watch Fantastic Four.

The last time I went to the movies is when I watched the last Rambo film, that's such a longtime ago.

maybe 2-4 movies a year, often by myself. Ill take a bottle of fireball with me. It has to be something that I really want to watch though which doesnt happen very often. usually horror movies since that is my favorite genre. I think the last one I might have gone to see was The Substance when that first came out. I had seen the trailer and knew it was a must watch just based on curiosity.

Still watch it. Have watched 9 movies this year with Sinners and Thunderbolts* being my favorite films so far.

Looking forward to watching at least 12 more movies for 2025.
I'll have to admit I do want to see 28 Years Later and Superman at the movies maybe even Megan 2.0.

The theater is my stress relief outside of gym and sometimes gaming. My local theater has non stop deals and I get the popcorn bucket early on in the year which is only a couple of bucks to fill.

I sometimes go once a week, if a good batch drops maybe twice. I don't go out, don't drink, no kids, spending extra at the theater is the thing I do for myself after a long week at a stressful job.
