Me, not that much it's been a couple of years since I last went.

With the price of going and them showing up on streaming services later there is no incentive to go TBH.

I wouldn't say I go alot, but I'm willing. If a girl wants to go to the movies I'll take her. Last took my kids to see one of the Godzilla movies.

I had a date planned at a theater a few months back with the sole purpose being it has the arm rests that go up. but the girl, who i had been seeing for a month or so, canceled and ended it.

Now seeing this new girl but we've already fucked so I don't know if I care to take her to the movies. Better to "watch Netflix" at my house

I go all the time, went and saw Thunderbolts and Sinners on a double feature a few weeks back, finna go again on or around June 20 to catch 28 Years Later and the new Pixar space adventure, Ello, cause they both release on that same day

Ole Pete loves the magic of the cinema, no doubt about it

Last time I went was probably seven years ago.

Last movie I saw was MI:8 in IMAX.

This weekend I'm actually paying like 10 bucks more than a regular ticket, to see BALLERINA in Dolby.

I also have a membership to a local arthouse theater, and I will go whenever they show a great flick. Saw HEAT in a sold out show a month or so ago.

Cinema itself is still magic to me, even if movies don't always live up to it. When they do though, it's special.

Absolutely. My favorite is going on Sunday mornings because you usually get the entire theater to yourself + tickets are less than 10 dollars.

Very few things you can do in my city that are not crowded and less than 10 bucks so sure why not ? Also helps that there's 3 theaters within 5 minutes so distance + price isn't really an obstacle

Once in a while if theres a good music biopic out.

I've had an addiction to the cinema most of my life but I'm done with it. Most of the films I want to see are old anyway and it's not worth going into Baltimore to see a revival anymore when I can watch it in the safety of my home without spending a bunch of money and getting mugged or having piss sprayed on me.

I more prefer going to see independant and local films at the community theaters, as you are getting a unique experience every time, you are supporting local artists and if you engage enough with people and rub shoulders its kinda cool to watch movies made by your friends.

I haven't gone to see a hollywood movie since the last star wars movie. That might have been the last straw.

Just watch Karate Kid Legends last Tuesday.

Paid 660 pesos for that crap

went last weekend to see lilo and stitch. before that seen minecraft. listen, my town has a one room theater and you only get one movie per week, sometimes for three weeks lol. i like going tho so i just go to whatever is there.
So a rural town?

Saying there's no incentive is like saying you don't need that sports car because you already have a bicycle.

I don't have a 75' screen at home. My wife won't even let me turn up the sound bar let alone have a massive dolby atmos set up. My TV is 4k but it's older than dirt and certainly not a laser colored projector.

Yes, but it's rare anymore. It depends on what's playing. I don't just go to go anymore. It's gotta be a big movie.

Or, if the theater shows old movies, I'll show up for those. Upcoming this year is Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and Rocky IV. I'll go watch those 100%.

Honestly, I’m loving the twilight years of cinema. It’s sad that they are dying off, but there’s just something to having a theater to yourself or with a few other people.

Was at a theater in Cleveland watching Kill Bill. Some fat bitch starting laughing when the bride got shot in probably the only serious part of the whole movie. Kill Bill was shit but the feeling of hating a crowded theater has always stuck with me.
