I have said it once and I ll say it again, islams kryptonite are short stock opponents like illia, as he can’t wrestle them and hold them down as easily(they are too short to get under). But I do see Islam KOing illias massive head into a different planet.

Morales is a lot of speculation/assumptions in general. Hes never made it to rounds 4/5 and only has two decision wins against guys way less grappling heavy compared to Islam. There are reasons to think he might not be the same guy in rounds 3/4/5. He cuts a ton of weight, he’s very explosive, holds a lot of muscle, etc. We just saw Islam drown JDM. That being said, I think he’s the rightful contender and is still a massive problem for Islam.

Morales is a problem because of his size and power but he doesnt have good technique hes just so physically imposing and packs a punch in that weight class. His striking is not really that good technique wise and the high level guys who have competed against better competition can neutralize him.

Not saying hes not a problem but I just think hes winning these fights based on pure physical gifts and not necessarily because of his skills. Islam has fought guys with better technique than him.

He actually reminds me of prime Jamahal Hill. Big power and long punches but he looks really awkward sometimes.

And it’s a 5 round fight.. so if you don’t have a path to take him out early your going to be eating shots for 25 minutes

Yup. He is gonna be tough to deal with just because of his size and power but the true elite guys who have seen different looks will know how to deal with that and he will have to use skills to win.

It all comes down to takedown defense. If Islam can take Morales down fairly easily, then Morales has almost no chance.

But if Morales can keep the fight standing the entire time, then I'd say he would probably be the favorite to win.
