You know, the more I think about it the more I feel console players kind of got the shaft with D2R in some otherwise minor or innocuous ways:
1. There doesn’t seem to be any way to repair a single item through any blacksmith NPC. There should be a button to select repair and then click and drag to repair the single item you want, but that doesn’t appear to be present for console like it is on PC. It’s either “repair all” or get fucked.
2. There doesn’t appear to be any way to take out a specific amount of gold. It’s either withdraw all of it or none or use a god awful slow arrow button interface. I was playing with a buddy who’s a literal complete newbie to D2 and I wanted to give him like 50-100k gold but I couldn’t. On PC you can push a button and then type the specific amount. On console there’s an arrow button that you can push to lower the amount you want to withdraw but it goes at a slow pace. So if you want to take out 100k but you have say 1M then you’re going to be pushing the down arrow for an hour.
3. For D2R it appears they’ve added a zoom feature for PC so you can zoom right up on your character. This appears to be absent on console. Not a big deal, but it’s odd that they didn’t include it. And before someone says “change the resolution from 800x600 to 640x480” that is NOT what I’m talking about. Here’s the zoom feature on PC demonstrated:
My understanding is for PC you hold F and then use the mouse wheel to zoom in the desired amount. Don’t understand why they couldn’t have done something with the PS4/5 controller with the large touchpad button.
