Diablo 2 Resurrected

You on PC, psn or xbox

I'm running a orb fireball build at the moment for farming still get whooped in choas and kill myphisto slow thinking of running an act 5 merc with lawbringer once I get the runes. Having decrepify lvl 15 is game over for bosses plus sanctuary aura to blast undead immunes is handy.

Using the “cheat” of teleport to the high ground and you can hit him but he can’t hit you?

So of all the various areas or bosses that are recommended for farming the two that have not been good returns for me consistently have been the Countess and Lower Kurast’s “super chests”. Never get any good runes from the Countess, even on Hell, and haven’t found anything worth a damn at all in the Lower Kurast chests, even on Hell. I’ve had much better returns from normal Diablo, nightmare Andariel and nightmare Mephisto.

I also did the Pit in the Tamoe Highlands on Hell and had good returns, but had to thrown in the towel for the Ancient Tunnels in the Lost City. All the undead seem to be immune to bone spear so it’s too difficult to fight my way through there on my own.

If you can make a lawbringer that gets rid of undead immunes

What platform are you on? I'm on Xbox.

Do u want help getting past act 3

Oh, I’m all the way through, have beaten Baal on Hell difficulty and am currently level 80 with my necro.

I was just commenting that when I’m farming on Hell difficulty and equip all my magic find gear (triple perfect topaz socketed armour, double perfect topaz socketed helm, chance guards, gull dagger, 2x nagel rings and a +33% to MF amulet) I can easily get my ass kicked if I’m not super careful because this gear doesn’t help at all when it comes to defence, resistances, or boosting my skills.

So, ya.. I think Blizz needs to fix the load times in this game.. Glad this wasn't Hardcore.

That gives me ptsd from vanilla D2 21 years ago getting murked by Duriel like that over and over again. My dad’s PC desperately needed a ram upgrade at the time.

What are you playing on? I’m on PS5 and it loads lightning quick, there are no load screens except when you’re first booting up a new game, but hopping from one way point to another is instantaneous.

Xbox One S unfortunately...

I got this as I heard people saying for years Diablo 2 is much better than 3.. (I only got into this series with 3 on PS3/4).

I dunno. I feel like 3 is more fun.

You know, the more I think about it the more I feel console players kind of got the shaft with D2R in some otherwise minor or innocuous ways:

1. There doesn’t seem to be any way to repair a single item through any blacksmith NPC. There should be a button to select repair and then click and drag to repair the single item you want, but that doesn’t appear to be present for console like it is on PC. It’s either “repair all” or get fucked.

2. There doesn’t appear to be any way to take out a specific amount of gold. It’s either withdraw all of it or none or use a god awful slow arrow button interface. I was playing with a buddy who’s a literal complete newbie to D2 and I wanted to give him like 50-100k gold but I couldn’t. On PC you can push a button and then type the specific amount. On console there’s an arrow button that you can push to lower the amount you want to withdraw but it goes at a slow pace. So if you want to take out 100k but you have say 1M then you’re going to be pushing the down arrow for an hour.

3. For D2R it appears they’ve added a zoom feature for PC so you can zoom right up on your character. This appears to be absent on console. Not a big deal, but it’s odd that they didn’t include it. And before someone says “change the resolution from 800x600 to 640x480” that is NOT what I’m talking about. Here’s the zoom feature on PC demonstrated:

My understanding is for PC you hold F and then use the mouse wheel to zoom in the desired amount. Don’t understand why they couldn’t have done something with the PS4/5 controller with the large touchpad button.

Well hopefully you can get a Series X down the road. I’m playing on PS5 but I also have a Series X and it’s great. I honestly like it more than my PS5 but my friends all play PS4/PS5 so I do all of my multiplayer gaming on my ps5

There's no doubt they could have done a little more to make it more accessible for consoles but it is, at the end of the day a game that originated on the PC.
I feel so torn on this remaster. On one hand it brings back one of my favorite games of all time. On the other they have done so many things poorly it's frustrating beyond belief. I booted up this morning, and then went to the fucking grocery store and when I got back I was still like "32" in the queue.

I've been playing Resident Evil Village today and I had a blast. Takes the sting out.

Yeah this queue thing fucking sucks. Hopefully they get their shit together soon and migrate over to new, higher bandwidth and more stable servers.

Managing your inventory and potion belt is a constant pain on pc. I could imagine that being a deal breaker on console

The que doesn’t make sense either. I swear it takes me just as long to get in when I’ve started at 4 in que as when there’s like 100.

Not gonna lie. I really miss Maphack.

If people haven't heard when the ladder starts new runewords plus monsters are being added
