Diablo 2 Resurrected

Today's Diablo 2: Resurrected update also adds enhanced Terror Zones, where you can earn consumables and choose which acts are terrorized. On Hell difficulty you'll encounter the stalker enemies Heralds of Terror, though also have the ability to unveil five mystical statues to unlock an uber boss — the Colossal Ancients — which Blizzard describes as "the next evolution of endgame battles."

damn. i kinda want to get back into this.
Rumour is they will be adding another act as well at a later date

Anybody played the D2 expansion? Any good?
It’s a lot of fun. The summoning skill tree for the new class was well thought out. You interact with them a lot more, can sic them on specific monsters, trap and force any demon in the game to fight for you, it’s pretty cool. I’m working up the magic skill tree which has some cool mechanics to its spells.

The new stash system system removes the need for mules. 5 pages of stash plus your gems, runes, and special items all get slots that you can stack 99 of each in their slots.

Sounds cool, but does it make the necro obsolete as a summoner?

you only get one summoned creature until you get 10 points in the mastery in which case you can have two, and at level 20, you can have up to three. Standards are a goat man for melee, one of those forsaken I think they’re called that can spit a ranged attack, and then a defiler that does something which I forget right now. So rather than having an army of skeletons running around doing whatever they want you have a small focused couple of guys that you can directly interact with.

You can teleport your demon across the screen, you can essentially corpse explosion them (they take damage but don’t die) you can have them eat corpses to heal. The cool part is if you enslave a demon you can consume it for buffs. Every demon gives you something different

This is so awesome, finally came to Steam/Steam Deck with controller support too. Thanks for keeping the thread alive boys, might not have heard about it.

My best friend and I played the hell out of it on Switch, one of my fav memories, but we always wanted it on the Deck natively, as we prefer playing Diablo games with a controller.

If anyone here lives in Ottawa, if you recall the tornado we had a few years ago, our neighborhood had no power for almost 10 days. Both of our offices were unusable for a good week, so neither of us could do any work. We would go to a Tim Hortons parking lot with my portable power station and play the hell out of it, it was like we were camping. No street lights, stars were bright as hell, but we were a 4 minute drive from home lol

I live further away now, but bless free online. We're going to fire this up soon!
