almost forgot about a duo today....they were doing deadlifts....started with 25s....added 10s at a time.......one of them was stronger of the two and worked up to like 205.....all the while he was grunting and bouncing each rep and trying to seem badass......he was a big guy....probably bigger than me and what seemed like decent shape.....this has to be one of the gheyer things I have seen done to poor deadlifts....they were doing higher reps too...eh....felt like saying why not try to do singles ....or put on some weight that actually challenges u....as I think they could have done much more......but didnt....o well...
 
i hate to admit this but it sounds like it would be a bit harder to do DL's with only 25's.
 
I dont think they even took that into consideration....they are just one of those people who are afraid to lift real weight....

the one doing it a bit heavier didnt lock out any of his reps i dont think....his form was awkward ...you right tho...i was somewhat happy to see another person deadlifting...no matter how light or badly....

Deadlift: double overhand
135-5 reps
225-5 reps
315-5 reps
405-1 rep..almost lost grip....bar is very slick...

staggered grip:+straps..on bent bar about 2-3 degrees
495-1 rep
585-1 rep
675-1 rep...with slight hitch/ramp
-used all back...i just kept hips high and made slight if any dip down off the ground.....lost a lot of strength with a long layoff from heavy deadlifting
-rested very little on all sets
405-17+0 reps....thought i'd do more...with bit of practice i should get 20+....

Box Squats: at parallel or inch above
135-5 reps
225-5 reps
275-5 reps
315-5 reps
-a guy i know at the gym asked to work in.....missed the bench by about 6 inches...it was very frustrating to watch

Gravitron 2000 assisted 1 handed pull ups:
bw(210)-30lb: 3 assisted pull ups and isometric holds and then negatives..
bw(210)-30lb: 3 assisted pull ups and isometric holds and then negatives..

-was able to hold myself for a bit on first set and lower with decent control....had almost nothing on 3rd set...

Sitting One legged curl machine:
120-5+0 per leg.

-was still somewhat messed up from a dozen or so shots i took on saturday......didnt do myself too many favors drinking 5-6 sake shots today at a friends party after gym....eh....
 
although i can hang on to the weight with chalk...during this particular workout i was using straps.........my grip has regressed a bit....taking it easy to recover from some nagging pains...

185-5 reps.....had maybe 1 more...my sohp sucks....

Squats:

Muscle Ups:
bw-5 reps
bw-2 reps
bw-3 reps

Push Press:
225-1 rep....went up unevenly....right, left, right, ...
250-1 rep....went up smooth with a lot of leg drive

Squats:
275-1 rep
315-1 rep

Push Press:
315-slight walk out and dip and press....
275-0+2 ....sgffsgj;fhgfjkdhger;gerkj;gergkjerf...
255-0+1 .......rested less than 30 sec after 275....i was furious....felt like punching some douchbags next to me doing something retarded....

Squats: belt+knee wraps(cheap kind from walgreens)
350-1 rep

bosu squats:
5 bw(208-210) squats...knee started popping...as i was using close stance...
2 half squats+jump forward
1 rep per leg of unilateral 1/4 squat then jump up and forward...
2 more bw squats

10-15 min rest

Squats: belt+wraps
375-2+0 reps...video coming...felt like utter shit but nice post injury pr...
315-4+0 reps...felt light...went deep
225-10+0 reps....was more limited by my shit conditioning i bet...

-COC3.5 2 force closes and neg with both hands, then 1 rep from CCS or a bit narrow with right hand...was fucking thrilled...would have video taped if i knew i could close it....left was bit better than 1/2" inch....


Gravitron 2000 assisted 1 handed pull ups:
-30: was able to do isometric hold with right at the top after assisting myself there and doing slow neg, couldnt hold myself at the top with left....did a half ass neg...

Pull ups:
bw-5 explosive reps....banging bar to chest

sitting overhead db extensions wtih left:55-5 reps, 60-5 reps, 65-4+0 reps...

congrats on the PR man. You should be getting 405 pretty soon, just keep that knee healthy.
 
ahahaha......fatty you crack me up....or rather i crack myself up with my horrible writing...

it was basically a walk out and dip/press...which got bar a couple inches off my chest....similar to a supramaximal walkout in squat before a PR attempt or something....275 was what i was going for...but i felt like utter shit....3 days after deadlift just doesnt cut it....usually i take more time off...like 5-6 days,,,,

thats 2 mistakes i made in 1 workout......glad i didnt put 600lb squat or something....on second thought ::::rechecks post:::

375 double....wanted to see where it really gets hard so pushed 2nd despite only planning single....still it wasnt the hardest fought set i have done...

felt like utter shit...I know i say this a lot but 3 days after deadlift workout I still felt like crap....i was drinking creatine those 3 days but not eating nearly enough...also dont drink enough....water....

I figured out that whenever you have a hardfought rep coming then it's better to go deeper not shallower....due to stretch reflex....i actually went a bit deeper on 2nd rep...

woke up and weighed myself 205lb....fuck i am shrinking...what is this bullshit....i am turning into zerocrew....guessing i was 208~ yesterday....pissed away the rest at night or something...
 
Nice squattage Devil. I liked the guys to your left doing seated overhead presses with a 45 pound plate. Does your knee hurt from squatting with a torn miniscus?
