I can do a few one handed pullups with a thumbless grip (when I grab the wrist)...

I have yet to try a dead hang rep with the second arm at my side or outward...
 
those are not 1 handed pull ups....those are still 2 handed pull ups....it's basically an issue of grip whn you hold the bar with 1 hand and another hand to the wrist.....I mean 1 arm at your side and 1 arm grabbing the bar.....

went to the playground to shoot some hoops....actually sunny today...if you ever lived in san fran you know what rarity that is....

Pullups: did it on beam behind the hoop backboard. about 3" thick and about 3 inches below rim level. jumped off 2 feet, grabbed 1 hand then adjusted and did my pull ups:
-bar to chest on all reps...from dead hang...varied hand spacing a bit....
bw(210)-10 reps
bw-5 reps
bw-5 reps
bw-5 reps
bw-5 reps
bw-8+2 reps....first 8 bar to chest...last 2 chin over the bar...

-thought there would be some normal height beams ....but couldnt find anything suitable....a decent one is at waist level for little kids...o well...

supersetted the 3 main exercises with lots of rest in between each...

Pull ups:
bw(210)-5 reps to chest.....wide grip
bw-5 reps to chest shoulder width

1arm with rope+DB(37.5): chin over bar or better
LH 2+1(last rep not at bar), RH 0+3
RH 1+1, LH 0+2
LH 1+0, RH 0+1
assisted concentric+negative:
RH 0+1, LH 0+1
LH 0+1, RH 0+1

Graviton Machine: assisted pull ups
50 lb assistnace: 0+1 for both arms...isometric hold+negative after assisting on concentric
50l:0+1...same deal

Pull Ups:
bw-5 reps to chest

Chin Ups:
+45-5 reps to chest

-2 muscleups
-1 muscle up...

Bench: middle grip....thumb length from inner ring..all reps with 2 sec pause at the bottom
45-10 reps
135-5 reps
225-5 reps
275-5 reps
295-5 reps
315-4+0 reps
335-3+0 reps
350-1+1 reps....last rep i had but spotter jumped it after bar stalled...o well..
-quite pleased with workout

Zercher Squat on Bench: about parallel or inch below

-wanted to do deadlift workout...which I havent done in a while but leaving for vegas now....so drinking wont do me good...so decided to do it afteri come back...

-did couple sets of calf raises, standing rope pulldown crunches(120-20+0 reps), overhead tricep extensions

Vegas was cool....i have braindamage from all the booze so recollection is kinda fuzzy......people told me i was there....so i'll take their word for it.....strip clubs, gambling, the usual...

no....i cant do 1 arm pull ups...i am working towards it....i use a counterbalance of rope and weight tied to it.....50-70lb away from it at current bw....

i feel so weak....today went to play ball...couldnt jump for shit....conditioning was even worse than usual...beh
 
My approach to the one handed pullup at the moment is just hang from the bar one handed and pull as much as possible. Works quite good. Last time I could pull myself up several inches and really got a good feeling like I really got the pull in (hard to describe). I try it with a pronated grip and also try not to turn arround so its a neutral grip. I find the supinated grip hurts my shoulders too much.
 
whats the name of the gym you go to? Do they have a website?
 
definitely not cheap....you can get 15 passes for 87$ that have no restrictions....they dont expire...or 15 passes for 78$ with Mon-THu before 2pm only....
 
...or enroll in 1 class a semester and just dont go, but get into the gym for free?

-felt sluggish...with very little energy....was dragging ass......couldnt get through planned workout....

Box Squats: inch below parallel....with 1 sec pause

-supersetted with box squats.....planned 10x5 and 10x1 but energy was not there though the weight didnt feel overly heavy...

40lb(approx help)-RH 0+1 then help with left and isometric hold at top and slow negative, 1+0 LH(chin over bar) help with right to go as high as possible then isometric hold and slow negative
40lb(approx help)-RH 1+0 then help with left and isometric hold at top and slow negative, 1+0 LH(chin over bar) help with right to go as high as possible then isometric hold and slow negative....figured how to position body for better leverage..
30lb(approx help)-RH 0+1 then help with left and isometric hold at top and slow negative, 0+1 LH(chin over bar) help with right to go as high as possible then isometric hold and slow negative.....was able to hold isometric hold slightly more with right hand...was also able to pull myself up slightly with right about halfway but nothing with left.....

Squats:
