Devil's Minions Team-summer Squat Competition

I love it and hate it. I find the sets of nine to be the most difficult, as well. To me, squatting takes the most out of you, more than any other lift, and I kind of like the daunting idea that, in two days, I'm doing something a little more difficult than what is absolutely killing me right now.

I also love how hungry I am, and how much I sleep. I saw DS say in another thread "eat like a horse, sleep like a hibernating bear". That's how I live now, and it's great. I've never woken up hungry before.

THe increased appetite thing is kinda cool, I'm going through 1.5g protein per lb bodyweight. and a lot of calories.

Haha if I were to go through that much protein, it'd be about 405g of protein a day! I do run through everything in the fridge, though.

I have like 100g of protein a day - sometimes less.

In a strange stroke of irony, I think I topped that 400g of protein, having just polished off a cattle ranch's worth of red meat. The plumbing will soon be tested, I fear.

is it weird if my FS is at (or above) my back squat? Also, what does this mean?

Yes it is. You are probably doing something wrong while back squatting. Post a video of your recent back squatting at 3rm+ .

I think it is because I have super tight hip flexors so it kinda sets my hips off balance... but FS's make form so perfect that I can really drive properly... don't know if that makes sense. Anyways... just squatted today so I will take a quick vid a little later in the week of some backsquatting.

I'm not an expert on form, but perhaps its a balance issue? When I front squat, I feel kind of wobbly. When I back squat, every once in a while I lose a little balance and tend to end up on my toes a little more than my heels. Again, I'm not the authority to ask on this, but that's just my two cents.

Yeah I don't think that is my issue though. My front squats feel EXTREMELY solid and my form is great... but something definitely feels funny on my back squat... feels like some hip flexibility issue.

And just for the record I also find front squatting easier than back squatting... I can backsquat more I believe, they are very close though. You should really just work on adjusting your back squat form, and getting stronger/better hips, glutes, hamstrings
