I am making this log for our team to post their workouts and updates on their numbers for the summer squat challenge. Feel free to post your numbers in a specific post on the first or second page and make updates with post edits. I will try to update this first with everyone's current PRs and such.

Use the log as you like beyond the posts that you'll update/edit. I'll try to answer questions and help those who ask.

My current squat PR is 475 with belt/knee wraps. My goal is to hit 495, then 500, then 545.

We will pillage and destroy all the other teams.

I am planning to work on my squat form w/some lighter weights and higher reps first until I feel my form is rock solid. I also plan to use front squats and zercher squats to work my overall squat strength. My goal by the end of the summer is to put up 405.
 
Nice! We should get a cool AV and shit too or something. My current 1RM is 235 but my goal is to hit 315 by the end of this thing, possibly more. I'm going to be doing heavy FS's for 3 more weeks then switch to backsquats for 4 weeks. Rar
 
Devil, I need your help with my squat. It's truly pathetic, I've been at 335 for months. I need to dig up my squat video from 2 weeks ago or so and was wondering if you could check it and see if you see anything wrong.

Current max=335lbs

Desired max at the end of this competition=405 (anything less is a complete and utter failure)
 
current best 265.. just started the 5x5 planning on a 315 or even better if I can.

For those who have the time and ability to recover...there's always the smolov program....
 
can you do the smolov program just for squats, or do you have to do all your lifts that way?

I was planning on doing 5x5, squat 3x a week, but only one of those days being back squats.

I actually JUST maxed my squat at 285 like the week this comp started so I will probably not have an update anytime soon...
 
So yesterday I got absolutely wasted and was yelling at people "I'm a fuckin' Minion, bitch!" I can't tell you how hardcore I was into the Minions last night. I was even trying to get someone to drive me to a tattoo parlor for a Minions tattoo. Needless to say, I was outside of my head last night.

We need a logo for avs or something.

My max is 345, but it'll go up probably the next time I squat. I took a week off of squatting so I could count any gains I made for the competition. My goal is 405, but I think I can do more. I'll go out on a limb and say 455 before summer's over. At least. I'm fuckin' pumped up for this shit. I deadlifted 390 for the first time the other day; I've been feeling really strong lately.

I also think we should rename the log "Do you wanna find Hell with me? The Log of the Devil's Minions".

We fuckin' own.
