He's the one and only smack talker I like. He is always measured and never overboard. He only fires low blows when he is against a low-brow opponent who also fires low blows (like with Sean). He always gets the better of them in the clowning and says some funny shit.

DDP has fought 3 times in the time Khamzat has fought a total of ONCE.

You gotta admit though, that one time 10 years ago when he fought 8 times in 2 weeks was pretty cool

whittaker is one of the best defensive wrestlers we've seen in the upper weight classes with how easily he stopped jacare and romero's wrestling, khamzat dominating him for 4 minutes is very impressive. It's very obvious why people hype the guy, and if you wanna use the injury to discredit the whittaker win then why shit on him for the usman fight where he broke his hand in the first round off of a random slam?

Maybe but a couple of things

• Whittaker was in his absolute prime against Romero and Jacare, who were considerably older than he was. And grappling gets affected by age just like striking
• Romero was basically Hendo 2.0 and largely abandoned wrestling. He was outwrestled by Brunson and never proved himself to be a top tier MMA wrestler. Jacare started his career as a BJJ specialist but started striking a lot more by the time he came to the UFC. As far as wrestling goes, I don't think Jacare was elite at all. His BJJ elite was at one time. By the end of his career, he got submited.

Khamzat easily could've been WW champion. Had they booked Khamzat vs Usman instead of Leon vs Usman. He probably would've taken that fight more seriously than against Nate Diaz and beat any champ there. His team sort of implies he can go back to WW they just need half a year to get there. Of course some questions need answers but if you don t get the Borz love yet then you don t know what you are watching. He s the best wrestler in the UFC right now and has 1 punch KO power, on top of having a murderer aura.
