Daniel Cormier would be a monster at MW

I know you're making a joke but Roy Nelson could also make MW if he didn't love fried foods and ice cream so much
Why would he again Luke,Jones, Johnson, chris, Anderson, could all make HW

If Lebron could skate and dangle he could be a force in the NHL. And with his ability to elevate he'd be a force in platform diving, he'd just have to learn how to do all those silly little back flips.

There were concerns about him dropping to LHW originally. There is no way he will ever fight at 185.

Cormier is a big guy but he's not very tall and carries a lot of spare weight. When he comes up against bigger guys in the division like Jones he finds it difficult. It's too late now as he is nearing retirement but if he was willing to cut down he would have dominated MW. Anderson would have had nothing for him we've already seen how that fight goes. DC is too strong of a wrestler. He'd have a much bigger size advantage at MW and wouldn't have to worry about his T-rex reach. He could easily walk around the cage at 205/210 maybe more come fight night if he had a specialist looking after his cut.

LHW is a weaker division than MW so I understand why he didn't want to go down but lets say the divisions were equally stacked, he would have more success in MW in my opinion.

Agree?

I don't agree that MW is tougher than LHW.

Jones, Rumble, Glover, Gus, OSP and so on would be favoured over pretty much everyone at MW.

If he cut down to Middleweight he'd lose a lot of power, strength and cardio, and he'd probably need liposuction done to make weight.

no Rockhold is at mw, cain is at hw....you see where im going with this right?

Cormier is not making MW.

I wish people would stop pretending like they had a clue about what weightclass a fighter should be in.

Cormier in college wrestling at 184

This is college but this shows that Cormier isn't some naturally pudgy guy and that he just got fat after college.

Oh, so he's 37 in that video?

As previously stated, he supposedly permanently damaged himself during those weight cuts. He didn't even want to cut to light heavy. Now people think he can make it to middle?

I never said he was too small. Can you point out where I said that?

Being better suited to a lower division does not equal too small for a division. Frankie Edgar is much more suited to 145. That doesnt mean he didnt have a lot of success in 155.

Edgar won the belt at 155 and didn't win it at 145. It's pretty daring to say he's better suited to FW when he became champ and built his legacy at LW

yes a literal monster because he would die from the weight cut. already had near-death experience from weight cutting once

He doesn't have to cut from 220. Some people need to use their brains. He could diet down to make the cut more manageable.

Fixed just to put that dumb comment in better context.

This is him at 182. Does that look like a guy killing himself to make 205? He could make 185 with little problems if he had a nutritionist monitoring his diet
NO he couldnt, the dude already has kidney problems he would end up in the hospital trying to make 185.

he permanently damaged himself while he was overweight trying to cut for the 2008 olympics, if I'm not mistaken. he was already fat then

That's if you try to cut from a ridiculously high weight. He's not doomed to be a human chicken nugget for all his life. He could diet.

And if you think he could make middle, you don't have one.

You don't know anything about his physical health. Why does it have to be just a dehydration problem? His metabolism may be badly damaged or some other health issue. It's not in his body anymore to rebuild his college physique. It's just not there. He's probably losing a bit of muscle even now just to make light heavy.

Everyone thinks that if someone isn't shredded, they're not doing everything they can.

Please, stop it. He was never "near death". His kidney function temporarily shut down due to extreme dehydration during one weight cut.

This would not have happened if he had the personal integrity to control his weight. He had no discipline, and got too fat (240+ pounds just before the Games) after taking the 211 spot on the Olympic Team.

A few hours after rehydrating he was fine, but too fat to compete.

There are many fighters in MMA who fight at, or below, their collegiate wrestling weight. DC could have done the same, but he has no ability to control his eating habits.

Dat Popeye's is a helluva drug.

182?!?!?! That weigh in was for the Roy Nelson fight, which was at Heavyweight, you fucking goof.

Well he'd have to cut off a leg to make that weight so yeah he'd be a monster.

Let's see Bisping deal with that.
