DWCS Dana's Contender Series 2025 thread

Alden Coria (flyweight) is fighting on Noche UFC against Alessandro Costa
Pinas is off. Talha is fighting Susurkaev (might be the first Chechen vs Dagestani fight in the UFC. I think both are Ali guys, which is weird in the DWCS)
Jon Kunneman (MW) is off. Brandon Holmes is fighting Rowston
Seck vs Kurt Campbell
Pace Jr vs Cabrera in week 9
Joksovic (WW) is off (injured)

I think there are only around 15 spots left. I would have expected more WMMA, but whatever...

Thanks, man. Updated.

I just want to see Amru Magomedov. is that too much to ask?

Wes Schultz (who fought Mansur Abdul Malik last year on DWCS) is fighting Mario Mingaj on week 10 of DWCS at MW

What's everyone predicting for week 1, then?

I've got Susurkaev to finish Talha and get signed.

Ewert to finish Panferov and get signed.

Drago to win a decision, no contract, maybe invited back on a later week.

Mangos by submission, get signed.

Bouafia by decision, gets signed.

4/5

Everyone made weight for Week 1

#92 vs #653 in Fight Matrix

+ Murtazali Magomedov vs Brahyan Zurcher at FW (Week 7) - #161 vs #326 in Fight Matrix

+ most likely Eliezer Kubanza vs Christopher Alvidrez at WW - #365 vs #382 in Fight Matrix

Same Zurcher that's been training in Dagestan for the last couple of months?

I thought he was a lock for Noche atleast he said so. Going from that to facing this killer just for a chance to get into the UFC is brutal

tbh I don't think Murtazali is that amazing. I've seen him get badly rocked by cans. He's not a Shaydullaev.

The DWCS's IG account is connected to Rashad Vagabov and Roque Junior. Both are flyweights, they are most likely fighting each other

Fighters added to the roster on UFC Fight Pass:
- Russian LW Magomed Zaynukov (Team Khabib's Nak Muay) https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/fighters/286665-magomed-zaynukov
- Brazilian LW Lucas Caldas (initially a Nak Muay) https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/fighters/301477-lucas-caldas
- American LW Adam Livingston https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/fighters/251326-adam-livingston
- Ecuadorian BW Adrian Luna Martinetti https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/fighters/139620-juan-adrian-luna
- Mark Vologdin, BW from Finland (AFN champion) https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/fighters/202598-mark-vologdin

Paulo da Silva is said to fight Rashid Vagabov https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/fighters/288111-paulo-da-silva-ph

It looks like only 3 spots have to be filled
On Tapology, week 10 is missing 4 fights, week 9 is missing 4 fights, week 8 has 3 fights, week 7 1 fight, week 6 2 fights, total of 14 fights missing, 28 fighters to match (even if some of the fights have leaked)
There are 3 flyweights without official fights: Vagabov, Paulo da Silva, and Roque Junior.
There are 6 BWs w/o official fights: Chovancek and Uchegbu, Jourdain and Magno Dias, Vologdin and Martinetti.
There are 3 FWs w/o official fights: Pink Panther, Demba Seck, Mulumba.
There are 3 LWs w/o official fights: Zaynukov, Caldas, and Livingston.
There are 4 WWs w/o official fights: Michael Oliveira, Gantt, Kubanza, and Alvidrez.
There are 2 MWs official fights: Dani Barbir and Mantas Kondratavicius
There are 1 LHW official fight: Luke Fernandez
There are 3 HWs official fights: Pergentino, Leka, and Nuftillaev
Making it 25 fighters w/o an official fight right now and only 3 spots left, most likely a LHW to get beat up by Luke Fernandez, a HW, and I guess a flyweight to face Roque Junior.
A listed FW should fight a listed LW. I guess Zaynukov is fighting at FW as he's way smaller than the LWs in his camp

Week #2 Prospect to watch: Louis Lee Scott
TJ Dillashaw 2.0
Switch-Hitter.
Pressure, finishing instinct, in pocket combos, timing & accuarcy, quick hands, athleticism.
Clinch knowledge 9/10
Counter takedowns, judo trips, back take chains, upforward weight positioning, pummeling.
Ground Game 8/10
Rolls, chain submissions, scrambles...

Kaushik is not that level of prospect.
Predictable wrestling, he doesn't have chain wrestling.

LLS sprawl n brawl 1rd ko/tko.

LLS should win, I do worry about his defence and chin a bit but Kaushik kinda sucks imo so I don't think he's the guy to take him out.
