Week #7 Prospect to Watch: Murtazali Magomedov

9 - 0 / 9 finishes.

Well rounded.
Perhaps the best fighter skillwise on this DWCS season.
Striking - MT combos, timing, combos, changing rhythms, infighter, pace.
Wrestling - Repertoire of takedowns, level changing, takedowns on balance and inertia, clinch game, mat returns, scramble, TDD, dog fight.
Ground Game - Positioning, GNP, set ups for submission, chain submission, transitions, posture in closed and half guard 10/10.

Zurcher need to defend the takedowns and pivot all time on center of the octagon, feint to counter his counter. Head hunter without diversity in striking. No chance in grappling yet.

His PFL fights were fantastic. I think his last one vs Ruiz he was actually in a bit of trouble in the 1st round, then KTFO'ed Ruiz in the 2nd.

Magomedov is talented but at the same time I've seen him get very badly rocked by low level journeyman Brazilians so I'm not totally sold just yet.
