Dana is absolutely correct. Neither Jones nor McGregor is suitable to go on the White House/250th anniversary showcase card.

Their reliability - making it to the fight - is a problem. Plus neither the UFC or the White House will want to showcase a fighter who has a tendency to be in the midst of a legal/criminal crisis (McGregor and rape allegations, fighting, and coke, Jones and, well, everything).

It would be an epic PR disaster for the UFC if they booked people on the 250th anniversary White House card who were then, say, accused of rape three weeks out from the fight.

The White House and UFC will try to book people who can behave themselves.

Thats a fair point that hadnt crossed my mind. Its a shame as they're two of the better/bigger name active US fighters right now and its probably the biggest all American fight that could be made between actual current top 5 level guys.
