I very much doubt it, I do agree that Trump and Dana will certainly want an American as the main event, no doubt this is a political event, and Jones is the best American fighter by far but can't see him coming back after all thats happened. I could see it being Holloway because Trump likes him a lot as he said before and it will fill the American part of this. Plus UFC know Holloway would put on a show and is always in entertaining fights. I'll be really surprised if there is no Americans in the main event, I think thats the true point of all of this.

Outside shot dark horse is Khabib - Trump said hes his favorite fighter. Unsure who an how that would work. Maybe he takes Conor to humiliate him agsin.

As much as I would love seeing Khabib lose I would want Conor to lose more.

Its the 1 time and 1 fighter he might return for. It should be a easy fight , he legit HATES Conor , hes literally Trumps favorite fighter, a special event might be final touch. ....... could literally get a 20/20/10 payday (20 mil show 10 mil win) . If he ever would the stars are all good for it to happen ....... atill a very dark horse long shot . But I honestly don't feel Khabib Conor 2 at WH1 is impossible but is unlikely

Jon is the current president's favorite fighter, so the odds are very good IMO. Plus beating the British again on Independence Day would be spectacular! Jon should get a parade through DC.

Afraid of Tom? Lol ... JJ has always been afraid of losing but don't fool yourself, he wants to smash Tom more than anything. And he can... The fight wasn't done due to timing. JJ isn't a popular champion because the hatred has been high on his. But as far as mma goes, there's no one better than Jon Jones. He's older but what he showed vs Stipe is enough to take Tom out and beat him up. Whether it's a very close fight or a later rounds TKO by JJ, I don't know... But Tom isn't winning vs Jon Jones. That's just like... No way. JJ is too good to lose for Tom even at 38. He has what it takes to steamroll Gane and dominate Miocic. Tom isn't up to par with that

I kinda believe Jon's yapping about "legacy" - if he was ducking Tom because the risk vs reward wasn't good enough for him before, then the White House event does sweeten the deal.

It may also be easier for Jon to make excuses if he loses now, because Tom has become an established champ and Jon can say "I was retired so this doesn't really count"

Jon's trial starts September 2 though.
Not sure how much Dana cares.
To some extent I think he feels "all PR is good PR" - scandals just make more people tune in to see Jon beat up.

It didn't happen, it will happen. Happening meant by already done, as in, the fight is done but not done. They're just waiting the right timing to make the fight, possibly, like they've left it kinda clear, September (as Tom implied in the Ariel podcast) or November this year, at the MSG arena. Done in the sense they know when it's gonna be.
