News Dana White "100% guarantees" Jones vs Aspinall fight

If he squatted and took a shit he couldn't guarantee it would hit the floor

Jon’s reluctance to take this fight has actually had the effect of growing Tom into the kind of draw and adversary tha tpeople want to see Jon fight.

Had Jon initially asked for Tom, or just taken it and beat him, he’s right, people would treat it like Reyes or Santos or how they are doing Gane now. But now a perception has been built, and Tom is sort of a legacy check mark now.

Jon might have accidentally 4D chess matched a monster fight lmfao
Exactly. I've been saying that for a while too. But ppl are.... Idk, they have some problems in reading between the lines, they can only see what is spoon fed for them, no deep thinking at all.

I don't think Dana is lying he's just mistaken for thinking Jones wants to actually fight Aspinall. He doesn't. He's scared to lose. He's not who Dana thinks he is.
Well, Dana talks to Jon Jones behind the scenes... We don't. So he knows JJ a lot more than any screen watcher like us do. That's a fact.

That's true in a way, but Jones (and Dana for that matter) is very good at misdirection and putting a lot of shit out there so that people can't wade through it to find out what he actually thinks. So while Jones and Dana may talk to each other plenty, my guess is that neither has a real good bead on what the other is really thinking most of the time. It may still be more than we know, but it may not.

Is this the line now? Gane=Aspinall? Okay. I just watched Gane get gifted a decision over Volkov in a fight Gane pretty clearly lost. I watched Aspinall wreck Volkov inside a round. If you guys think Aspinall is another Gane LOL...good luck.
That is until Aspinall loses... Then it'd inevitably be "damn, Tom was overrated af, Ngannou was the real deal, UFC knew that and so they released Ngannou"... I think JJ is building all this just to guarantee Aspinall is seen as a huge monster the same way as Ngannou so his win isn't just shafted away like vs Gane...

More than we know it is, for sure.

jones haters dream is jon to fight aspinal
now this thing is beginning to happen
but jones haters suddenly doesnt love the idea anymore

loooooll
Is this a haiku? Or u just retarded?

If it happens, I will be purchasing it. It’s the biggest fight that could possibly be made and it has to happen.

Some people will say that, sure. But there's a % that will ALWAYS shit on someone after a loss and say they weren't any good. Watch what happens if Aspinall smokes Jones LOL, this ain't one way traffic. "Jones was a blown up LHW with a gut that beat an overrated and disinterested Gane and a washed Stipe. A steroid cheat that had a massive size edge over all the other LHW's. Finally fought a real good HW and got wrecked." You think you won't see that?

Gane looking like shit and being gifted that win over Volkov doesn't help that win age so well for Jones, but like I said that barely matters. Some people will trash any win.

These are some quotes from the press conference:

“It’s weird,” White said. “What’s weird about that, let me tell you what’s weird about that: So usually guys say that sh*t behind the scenes and not publicly. Jon says that sh*t publicly but not behind the scenes. Jon is a very unique individual to deal with. From Day 1, I’ve been confident that Jon Jones would do that fight. Even before the fight (with Miocic), I said Jon will do this fight. Jon Jones isn’t afraid to fight anybody, and that’s a fact.

“The only time that anything remotely weird has happened with Jon Jones is the time that his f*cking camp did the weird Chael Sonnen thing, ‘We can’t fight Chael Sonnen on short notice.’ and that wasn’t him. It was his team, and he listened to his team for whatever reason. But that’s like the goofiest f*cking move in the history of the UFC. But other than that, Jon Jones is not a guy that, behind the scenes, turns down fights.

Dana is trying to manipulate, pressure, and shame Jones into taking the fight by loading him up with BS praise like "he's the best ever", "He's not scared of anyone", "I know Jon, he's going to take the fight", "He made a mistake with Chael (but he won't this time)"

Also the implication is that if Jones ultimately ducks the fight and retires Dana is going to reverse himself on everything and all of a sudden Jones was not the best, Jones was scared of Aspinall AND Ngannou, etc. He's threatening a hit to his legacy if he doesn't take the fight, But even if all that works on Jon's ego, he's still going to have to come up with the money even if means taking a loss on the event

Well, ofc you will see that, but... Aren't you seeing that right now? Many ppl say that right now already...

Yeah, that may be true. Maybe. We don't know. But Dana is a manipulator for sure. He gave Anderson Silva a huge nice car and talked about him to rethink his retirement... He's a fat bald guy who doesn't fight, only eats and does some things, gets most of the money and hates guys who can give him lots of $$$ retiring on top... Yeah, Dana kinda sucks. But he knows he is in a good position to do that, because the popular opinion backs up the "JJ needs to fight!!".... Dana is a manipulator, it's kinda sad that he pressures those fighters into losing years of their brain health while he himself gets most of the money from their spilled blood...

Tom got beat by Blayeds

Dana holding his hand like that is hilarious.

Probably freaks him out.
In Saudi culture, it's normal for men to hold hands but with Americans it's a power negotiating move because it puts them in an uncomfortable situation. Dana should retaliate with a nut grab and a tongue kiss.

For Dana to say this about Jones, I'm thinking Jones has more or less said let's do it.

Dana has always been very tip toe around any Jones future fights for years now. Jones skin is about as thick as tissue paper and Dana know this and knows all he can do is stroke Jones ego or it is hell to pay behind the scenes.

If Dana can make this fight happen, I know he would. I hope he can pull it off for all of us. Please Dana make this happen.

I really hope so, but Dana White is not to be trusted
