News Dana White "100% guarantees" Jones vs Aspinall fight

What do you guys think? Do you trust in the boss man?

I really hope so, but Dana White is not to be trusted

Jon should take the fight. If he loses he still has the GOAT resume but is a steroid cheat.

If he wins he has the GOAT resume but is a steroid cheat, but he'll be a hell of a lot richer.

Honestly think he has a good chance against Tom, and can make a pile of cash at HW.

TLDR he has nothing to lose. His perfect record doesn't mean anything in the grand scheme of things because it will always be undermined by his cheating. His resume on the other hand is incontestable and his net worth can become MUCH greater.

Jones very much cares about his 'undefeated' record. It's also a huge reason why he's asking for "fuck you money" to fight Aspinall. He knows he has a very good chance of getting knocked out.

He does but he shouldn't, because losing to Tom at this stage of his career won't change what he's already accomplished with his resume, and it won't change that half the fans will always liken him to MMA's Lance Armstong. The only thing that will change is his net worth.

His perfect record is meaningless from a financial standpoint. I don't see Jon profiting by becoming some ambassador of the sport and world wide spokeperson/coach like Khabib. Jon has way to much shit on him for that. No one will ever consider him a hero or a marketable post career fighter because his story is not at all inspirational or role model like.

You're forgetting how big this guy's ego is lol.

I can totally see him not take $30 million to avoid getting knocked out by Aspinall.

You may very well be right, but the money and fame drag most fighters back. Tale as old as time. His quiet life in Albequerqe probably won't fufill him for very long.

I bet Dana is whispering to Jones that if he doesn’t take the fight, UFC is going to promote Aspinall as “the HW that Jon Jones didn’t want to fight” every time he fights. Dana doesn’t have to pay FU money. He knows Jones insecurity and how to outmaneuver him.

I doubt it happens personally

Jones will either get hurt in training camp or get in trouble in his personal life … something will happen that prevents this fight from happening
That's how i feel. It will be signed, Jon will get injured and ride off into the torn titty sunset.
