Damn Tom Hanks nd his wife caught it? Probably already mentioned here
no it’s not anyone with half a brain realizes how retarded the snake oil you are trying to push is during this crisis. It would close hospitals and the healthcare people would be allowed to access would be basic. They are not going to be seen by a bunch of specialist.
You people are fucking disgusting. You push your stupid fucking cause at the worst moment because you see an opportunity to exploit? One with any rational sense would understand that instead of providing an unstable option it will be the current administrations responsibility to come up with a plan to aid those in need.
you people are cancer
The 3.67% figure isn't an estimate. It's derived from the confirmed cases versus the confirmed deaths from those cases. I'm just going off the JH map. All sources aren't in 100% agreement, and we're not dealing with numbers where small mistakes would extrapolate to major statistical flaws when estimating the wider impact. This isn't 9 deaths, we're talking about, here, it's over 4,000:

I'm in the Least Concern camp, but your attempt to downplay this outbreak, or analogize it to Swine Flu (like the Avian Bird Flu a decade earlier) is misguided. We're well past phantom panic.
US Census Bureau: The massive number of Baby Boomers surpassing retirement age threatens to overwhelm the healthcare and social welfare systems.
Coronavirus: ...hold my beer.
Yes, I've seen the number of recovered, and I'm aware that the deaths are almost entirely elderly in the USA.4000 dead, and 68000 recovered.
I’ll let you take a guess what H1N1’s confirmed count vs death rate........ 3%
It’s technically many times greater than the flu as well, spread to 214 countries. Again, history and numbers are NOT on your side.
68000 recovered, does that number have any meaning to you? It sure as hell should.
4000 dead worldwide is a paltry number for months of deaths. 4000 people die in a week in America due to the regular flu, nobody bats an eye. Nobody tests. Nobody closes anything.
Since this virus is now deemed a pandemic, surely I can make that comparison right?
Again, when you got a chance, let me know which chart is source is inaccurate or flawed, consider this a healthy dose of skepticism.
That's the USA, not global figures, but the number of deaths was a mere 0.69% for the H1N1 virus versus confirmed cases as measured during the ongoing outbreak. The 2009 pandemic influenza A (H1N1) virus (pH1N1) was first reported in the United States on 12 April 2009 [1, 2]. By 23 July 2009, a total of 43,677 laboratory confirmed cases, 5009 hospitalizations, and 302 deaths had been reported to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), but early investigations indicated that the number of reports had notably underestimated the true burden of the pandemic to date [3].
On the upside, this could kill lots of boomers
I got to take a look at your site, it's nothing but data points, nothing that can be used for analysis. They're just live updates, no death rates or anything.
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/ has all the data as well as death rates
I Am not at the computer so my post will be limited.Yes, I've seen the number of recovered, and I'm aware that the deaths are almost entirely elderly in the USA.
Nevertheless, I don't know where you're getting these numbers:
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21342903

Compare that to the 37 deaths for the 1,312 confirmed cases in the USA so far. That's 2.8% of our total confirmed cases. The lethality rate is 4x as great.
It's possible this is skewed since so many of the deaths are from that nursing home near Seattle, but everything I've seen has demonstrated similarly alarming numbers. Again, I'm not panicked, but I think there's a reason that you're seeing unprecedented precautions like major sports arenas shutting down business.
Some clown in this thread called me cancer because I dare bring up the potential that people won't go to the doctor if they can't afford it. 70% of the country can't afford a $1000 emergency.Only in the greatest country on earth.
and now in South Korea they’re testing tens of thousands of people with no out of pocket costs. America’s system is beyond broken and it will never be fixed.
Why do you keep comparing unlike figures?I Am not at the computer so my post will be limited.
the formula for death rate is as follows. Outcome of total closed cases(recovery rate vs death rate)(Cumulative total deaths and recoveries overcumulative number of closed cases)
As of today, we are sitting at 72% death rate using that metric.
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/
the number is highly unreliable
vast majority will be unconfirmed/underreported cases, where someone with the virus shows little to no symptom and fights it off.

What if someone with no insurance is feeling sick and can't afford that test, can't afford the $1200 ER bill and can't afford to miss work? Now everyone at work has it and their kids. Now all the kids at school have it and their families. So on and so forth.
Assholes like that think they live in a bubble where they aren't affected by the decisions of the little people.
The hospital gets a judgement against that person. Hospitals garnish wages and have taken the homes of people who owe medical bills.what are they gonna do if you have to be hospitalized and get a huge bill and simply refuse to pay it.
what can they do?
This pandemic shows without a doubt that everyone’s health is everyone’s problem. If society is sick everyone is sick. There couldn’t be a more perfect example than coronavirus
Your interests aren't being represented. The president is taking meetings with insurance companies. The little people aren't on the schedule.no it’s not anyone with half a brain realizes how retarded the snake oil you are trying to push is during this crisis. You have no fecking clue what you are talking about, I'm Canadian , last week my wife was very ill , took her into emerg after phoning the online doctor hotline , they had her in a special isolation room within 10 minutes , gave her three IVs , and tested her for covid19 , great care , they did a great job , in the end she has pneumonia not covid19 .no it’s not anyone with half a brain realizes how retarded the snake oil you are trying to push is during this crisis.
