When Conor beats Nate it actually sets up a good story line for McGregor vs Nick Diaz.

absolutley, but theyll go back after RDA next i imagine.
I honestly don't think they will.
Conor didn't seem too keen on the idea when they asked him.
I never said take a back seat money wise... where do you get this from?
Expected thread to be about Nick Diaz.
I agree.. I'm just saying the amount they both could make would be very tempting, especially for GSP, considering this could be an easy fight for him to come back to.Sorry, just felt like what you were saying. I can't see GSP doing it for less than a 50/50 cut or even more.
And GSP will easily win that fight. Done.Conor's game plan is to make crazy $$$ and get out, right? He obviously likes looking good while putting on a great show, he's enjoying the spot light, having fun, etc. So why does he take the Diaz fight at 170?! It's not because the fans want to see Conor v Diaz. This fight really doesn't make much sense other than it's oddly entertaining. The reason is, if he does beat Diaz, which I'm still nervous about, he's going to call GSP out of retirement... and then the earth will shattered because GSP will accept that fight. Done.

This is something i've considered too, I think it could very well happen.
What a lot of people don't seem to understand is that Conor doesn't care about the potential of losing a fight as much as many people think, he wants to be an all time great and make 9 figures in the process and to do that he is willing to take fight that people say are risky, he will be the biggest draw in the sport even after he loses a fight in the UFC.
Conor would take that fight in a instant, and eventually all the haters will realise he's not like the rest, and even if they never like him, they will learn to respect him if they haven't already.
And GSP will easily win that fight. Done.
Here's a crazy, novel idea. How about defending the belt
I agree with everything you said except GSP being the GOAT lolNo doubt... but both will come out winners. Conor will have made an extreme amount of $, only to lose to the GOAT at a higher weight class, while still retaining his belt. So he will still be viewed as the man. GSP will have knocked the ring rust off and made a boat load of cash too... AND the UFC will have made millions upon millions. Done.
