Conor's game plan is to make crazy $$$ and get out, right? He obviously likes looking good while putting on a great show, he's enjoying the spot light, having fun, etc. So why does he take the Diaz fight at 170?! It's not because the fans want to see Conor v Diaz. This fight really doesn't make much sense other than it's oddly entertaining. The reason is, if he does beat Diaz, which I'm still nervous about, he's going to call GSP out of retirement... and then the earth will shattered because GSP will accept that fight. Done.

He doesnt need to be callin out no wrestlers.

Hed be better off fighting Robbie

I completely agree with you both, but he's got nothing to lose by losing to GSP at 170 and he'll make a boat load of $$$... probably the highest of any UFC fighter ever.

he cant call out gsp without beating robbie first. Gsp should beat robbie, get his belt back before becoming eligible for the red panties night

No, it has nothing to do with GSP

GSP doesn't want to come back to go through war with Robbie... the Conor fight makes sense for both of them.

Nah

It'll be McGregor fighting for WW or LW title at UFC 200. If he loses he defends FW belt, if he wins he either defends FW belt or challenges for LW / WW belt next.
Gimmick fights like GSP are UFC's fallback if his scheduled opponent pulls out or if McGregor's progress stalls

His 170 talk is a bit to much, Robbie beats Connor, Rory would throw him over the cage, hector Lombard might actually kill Connor.

Gsp ain't coming back to fight a natural lw. Not about the money for him. He's good for life obviously. Aside from that he would pummel Conor so badly.

No he's not.. Even if he beat Nate it still won't qualify him to fight an elite Welterweight (retirement or not) Diaz is a Lightweight coming in on a weeks notice.

that would be a big money fight

however GSP would ruin Conor

I see where you are coming from, but GSP coming back wouldn't be bound by such mundane conventions as belts. They might as well just call the welterweight belt the GSP belt from now on.

Fuck that! I'm staying retired

I've seen some people talking about this fight on twitter in the last day or two, and yeah, it does make a whole lot of sense from both fighters' perspective.
