Looks more like a medium to me.

No it’s not. By cooking a steak past medium you remove the fat, moisture, and tenderness which are the qualities that make steak so amazing.

Nothing wrong with steak tartare either. Raw isn’t my preferred way but it’s good. A medium rare ribeye is my favorite by far
Delicious, I actually take ribeye in particular to medium, thats when the fat truly renders down and becomes so good. Other cuts with less fat are delicious medium rare though
 
That's colder than the middle of my Pittsburgh steak.

My amusing anecdote revolves around my NYer ABC wife asking me for rare steaks then for years always complaining that they'd come out medium.
I'd pull it at 125.... then 120-125... (she's not good with cooking meat in general,) 115.... and finally got annoyed and pulled one out of the pan at like 105 (that's blue maybe not even) before she was finally happy.

It's a terrible comparison, though.

Comparing the stews that she was preparing in he video( let alone looking at dishes on her menu) to the lean meat and vegetables with under seasoned potatoes that Colby was eating in that video.... we might as well be comparing sashimi to hamburgers.

All that said, traditional Caribbean cooking is definitely going to be antithetical to cutting weight.

I'm thinking that particular embbeded was done more than a week out from fight night what was the harm in a little bowl, but I'm greedy like that. I would've just went 20 more minutes on the aerodyne bike, but unlike me Leon is disciplined and I'm just constantly hungry and I'm guessing the sodium content would've been quite high with all them fine spices.

Damn, now my stomach is rumbling, no lie.
 
I'm just here to pat everyone who doesn't eat steak well done on the back, you guys are real men and far superior to someone who eats it well done, congratulations when you die there is a reward waiting for you in heaven

Don't the meat companies put a red coloring to the meat and that's why it is that way? Like, it's not blood.

ALL the LW's cut big amounts of weight to compete at 155lbs, he isnt looking to fight natural 155ers, there is no such thing, probably Frankie Edgar at his time.

I'm from Appalachia, and have to work hard to get past the preconceptions that come with that, socially.

So I'm on a business trip some years ago with this new "director" that was added to my area and we're at the Dallas home office. They take our entire crew of 20+ directors from different locations to one of nicest steak places in Dallas, which should tell you enough about environment.

As we're sitting there, she pipes up and says "this place is OK, but when me and my boyfriend want a nice night out, we go to Olive Garden."


I wanted to crawl under the table, rest of the group are just dumbfounded.

I got nothing against olive garden, eat what you want, it's just one of those "there are levels to this shit" situations and Olive Garden is essentially McDonald's compared to where we were.

Sweet as pie, too; but maybe like 6-7 years of periodically cooking steaks thinking that the temp of the pan was too high, the thermometer wasn't placed right or malfunctioning, that there were different standards of rare and medium, etc... even though she was always to sweet about it; I was about to give up.

Yeah, I'm not guessing that Leon's the type to deviate from any type of plan whatsoever.
I guess nobody watched the video but he says the steak is medium, not well done.
