Media Colby exposed for eating well done steak

ASZE2y.gif

Same vibes

Edit: Death to the new Sherdog and it's inability to work properly

Not defending Colby for his antics but my MMA coach used to say if you’re eating meat or fish or something that can get you sick before a fight, make sure it’s well-done.

No need for a stomach bug ahead of a fight.

FTR - Medium is my go-to

Maybe someone's confusing a rib roast for steak.

Maybe, but that makes me think about...

I just had an inch and half thick prime rib 2 weeks ago for my birthday, it was fuckin delicious lol.

Had a 20oz bone in ribeye a week before that, medium rare of course.

He should've got the salmon

Never understand the steak police. Why do you care about how someone else prefers their steaks?
Part of it is a need to feel superior to others for inconsequential reasons.

The fact that many chefs won't cook one past medium rare since they can't control the quality of the final product
makes the customer believe that it is superior.

Add the fact that many well done proponents are under the misconception that there's bacteria on the inside of the meat and that cooking it to 150 degrees plus is healthier (which we know isn't true at all.)

I say eat it raw if you like, burn it to a crisp if you like; just don't F--- mine up, please!

Oh hush lol.

Your last sentence says it all though sir.
Just don't fuck mine up.

Funny story though.
We all went to this fancy steakhouse (about 9 of us, like 20+ years ago) and this dude was there that most of us didn't like but he was buds with my good friend.

When his steak came well done we made him eat on a separate table lmao.

I got a funny one like that.

I'm from Appalachia, and have to work hard to get past the preconceptions that come with that, socially.

So I'm on a business trip some years ago with this new "director" that was added to my area and we're at the Dallas home office. They take our entire crew of 20+ directors from different locations to one of nicest steak places in Dallas, which should tell you enough about environment.

As we're sitting there, she pipes up and says "this place is OK, but when me and my boyfriend want a nice night out, we go to Olive Garden."

I wanted to crawl under the table, rest of the group are just dumbfounded.

I got nothing against olive garden, eat what you want, it's just one of those "there are levels to this shit" situations and Olive Garden is essentially McDonald's compared to where we were.

I would've come up with a reason to leave lol

Thankfully only like a third of the group knew she and I were from the same area.

I actually left a girl sitting at a table on a first date years ago. I was like 18, took her to this semi-nice Mexican place (was as upscale as Mexican gets), she gets a "Mexican pizza" and they serve it and she's all 'this isn't like taco bell...'

see ya bish.

Anytime someone mentions taco hell in a real Mexican restaurant...she gotta go lol

That's colder than the middle of my Pittsburgh steak.

My amusing anecdote revolves around my NYer ABC wife asking me for rare steaks then for years always complaining that they'd come out medium.
I'd pull it at 125.... then 120-125... (she's not good with cooking meat in general,) 115.... and finally got annoyed and pulled one out of the pan at like 105 (that's blue maybe not even) before she was finally happy.

Man, what kind of meat are you eating that you can't eat a medium rare steak without worry of it harming you?

Is this a thing in America? That you might be at a restaurant where you can't trust a medium rare steak not to poison you? I live in Canada, and over here this is patently NOT a thing.
its a everywhere thing sir, have you ever been to america?

You said blood drinkers, its not blood...and that is judgemental if we're being honest sir ;)

If it’s red it’s 100% blood and that’s not a judgement, that’s just a fact of life, sir.

No need to feel insecure about the temperature you eat steak. You like to see blood and eat it.
