What does that prove? Usman hits harder than Leon?

Leon struggled hurting Nate, how will his pillow hands do what Usman did to Colby?

your comparing Apples and Pears, don’t think what Usman did to Colby can be replicated by another fighter in WW, especially a decision specialist who has built his win streak fighting low ranked fighters.

Maaaybe... Styles make fights. Leon didn't lose because of bad cardio. He lost because of Diaz boxing, the same that outstruck MJ, Cowboy and Conor. Don't think Colby can do that so he'd have to find another way to win.

Colby has pornstar cardio and would have tko Leon in the 5th had they fought tonight

Colby has rudimentary hands though and I’m not sure he could bully Leon in the grappling. I’d love to see that fight though. I think Leon could crack Colby with a counter if he tries to spam that 1-1-2 clinch that he favors.

to be fair, he didn’t lose to Nate at all. He lost a round and lost in the court of public opinion, since getting wobbled to the point that you look out on your feet against a badly compromised Nate in round 5 is not a good look for a potential title contender. That said, he won that fight quite decisively.

You’re right, of course, about styles but I still think Colby has a solid advantage over Leon. Leon is well rounded and very effective at what he does but guys like Colby have a relentless pace and workrate. I see Leon as a guy that can comfortably fight five rounds when he dictates the pace like he did against Nate, RDA and Cowboy. That’s a good thing. There’s a lot of guys who fatigue in five rounders even when the pace is methodical.

But against Colby, I think the pace would fluster him cause Covington would be landing shots from distance, clinching up and dirty boxing, then going for takedowns as well. I believe a guy like Colby would really prevent Leon from setting in and using his skills effectively.

When’s the last time Colby got a tko that didn’t have to do with a old man breaking a rib on a takedown? Colby could possibly get a ud over edwards though. A 48 47 with Colby winning the last 3 could def happen if Leon doesn’t show up in the best shape of his life. Colby does have crazy cardio.

You mean his last fight in 2020? Lol

His last fight is a TKO stoppage over Woodley. Nice try though.
Morons think Usman broke his jaw, he is a scrub and anyone can do the same. Pillow hands has no chance

Dunno about that fam.

They're pretty 50/50 matched tbh...

Colby the better wrestler...
Leon the better striker...
Colby still a decent striker (for a wrestler)
Leon a decent wrestler/grappler (for a striker)

Wouldn't be an easy night for either of them.

lol I didn't even mean to be a troll and say Leon lost. I guess I got carried away there. It was a huge moral victory for Nate but Leon won hands down fair and square.

tbh I have no idea how Colby vs Leon would go. They seem to kind of cancel each other out a lot. Leon would probably lose some grappling exchanges but I don't see him getting ragdolled. On the other hand Leon might be the best striker Colby has ever faced even if he doesn't pack a ton of power. It might come down to who has the better gastank.

"Tko stopage" you should be telling yourself nice try

That was a competitive fight against a guy who lost like 2 or 3 straight and lost the following fight and was only "finished" by a freak rib injury that colby didn't inflict

Colby is a bum and is going to get finished even faster
