The lack of education isn't cited to promote some ridiculously ignorant stereotype like, "duh Trump voters are stupid" or "duh liberals can't do math". It's a matter of which group has been hurt the most by economic globalisation and immigration. The answer is, uneducated and unskilled labour in developed nations.
Factor in the resulting dissatisfaction and feelings of disenfranchisement, along with the appeal to bigotry (or being shit scared of Muslims if you prefer), in-group identity politics and a bit of nationalism... that's Trump's campaign.

You're confusing the stats on the 400,000 illegal immigrants by sea into Europe with the 4M+ Syrian refugees displaced by war. Of course only the men are going to be tough enough to survive the sea voyage in open boats across the Mediterranean with little food or water.

Voter turnout is possibly the single biggest factor in who wins an election. Which demographics are more likely to identify with which party, and how likely are they to vote?

Senior citizens and small business owners are both more likely to identify as republican. 18-24, who either don't work or are just starting their career are overwhelmingly democratic, welfare recipients the same. Small business owners and senior citizens have become republican. Criminals also tend to be democrats, though not as much voter turnout from that group. How can libs claim any moral high ground when their voting base is all people who contribute nothing and just want more free shit?
