Actually no, I'm completely aromantic so have an issue with guys catching feelings not the reverse. I've been called some variant of a 'heartless bitch' more times than I can count. Probably true but I'm honest from the get-go about my feelings (or lack thereof) so I figure they know what they're getting themselves into. However I digress since this thread isn't about me.

Your advice was just bad advice. The girlfriend will find out unless she's an idiot. There are witnesses and TS comes off as a crappy liar. If you got away with it in the past than that had more to do with a shortcoming on your girl's part than anything you did.

No, the other girl's actions don't matter. What matters is the TS's actions. He is in the relationship, he broke the commitment, he owes his girlfriend. Her 'acting psycho' in no way negates the TS's wrongdoing or shifts the blame for the cheating on the girl.

However, TS may need to eventually look into a restraining order but that's a separate issue.

I've also never listened to a Sarah McLachlan song. If I wanted to listen to crap I'd record myself singing in the shower and listen to that.

Told her what happened and we had a mutual break up. It actually went way better than I thought it would because she was apparently planning on breaking up with me anyways

I've cheated twice in my entire life. Once was in HS, so who gives a fuck, and this time, which totally sucks. I do feel really bad, but I think breaking up was a good thing. My girl and I have been fighting way too much lately, so I'm starting to look at this like it was a blessing in disguise.

Another poster pointed out that I was more scared about getting caught and shamed for nailing trashy chick than I was remorseful about cheating. I literally read that and decided to come clean right there.

Whoever that person was.......thanks, I needed to hear that because it just proved that this relationship has been done for a while.
