Locked CAPTAIN MARVEL Movie (First Official Look)

The woman from Walking Dead would be perfect, goddamn.

I always preferred the Billy Batson version of Captain Marvel, and oddly enough I think he would have fit in and been used better by Marvel. DC hasn't been able to give him his due.

Which woman from walking dead? There are many women on that show, black and white.

Are you talking about Maggie Cohen? Which super heroine can she play: Squirrel Girl?

Let me guess, Ronda for Valkyrie, right?

Coincidentally, my last project before I may or may not lie low for a while from Sherdog is Thor 3 and 4. Originally, it was supposed to be just Thor: Ragnarok but after the mess The Dark World made, I decided to make Ragnarok the fourth movie and make a third movie to fix what The Dark World made.

That was a first pick a while back, mostly because I couldn't figure out how to fit in Thor's granddaughters since the eldest even wears Ronda's fight gear. Then as I was putting together that last post the idea struck me like a bolt of lightning.

The idea that struck me...

Movie starts on a silent barren landscape, camera is near to the ground the low whistling of the wind is all we hear. Text appears at the bottom of the screen: Midgard 3025 (or some other future time). Suddenly armored boots walk across the frame as we pull back we see the Girls of Thunder are trekking across the countryside.
Landscape looks as such but sans Galactus and King Thor since he'll pop up in a sec.
t3.jpg

As they walk we see farming equipment that Thor has put together over the years as he tills the soil trying to bring Earth back.
Youngest: Are we sure grandpa is here?
Middle: Mother saw him heading to the Bifrost with the book again. Just wants to make sure he's ok.
Eldest: There he is.

We see King Thor sitting atop a rocky outcropping with Mjolnir at his feet as he reads through a large ancient book, the lock and chains that kept the book sealed rests on top of Mjolnir.
Using the 'Unworthy' book as an example
Sky-Book.png

The girls approach Thor and make small talk as he reads on. One of them asks what he is reading.

Thor: Looking to see if there was something I missed, something I could have done to change this.
Eldest: I don't think anyone could have stopped this from happening to Midgard.
Thor: Not the event but if I could have stopped it at the source then they could have been saved. There must have been something...*he looks up from the book* Maybe you will see what I could not.

We pull in over Thor's shoulder as he goes back to the cover: RAGNAROK, big music swell as the words rise up from the cover.

Smash cut to Thor picking up from Age of Ultron. They started Thor 2 with a look far in the past so I thought starting Thor 3 with a look far into the future would work.

Maybe for a post credits scene we get King Thor closing the book but before he can say anything we get the return of the being that destroyed Earth. Could be Kang, Beyonder, fuck if I know but this person would be the next big Avengers villain. The main story of Ragnarok would be the final set up to Infinity War and this scene would allow people to figure out who this next villain is for his arrival in present day during the post credit for Infinity War. Hopefully this will lead to less: Who is [Thanos, Apocalypse, etc] that happens in the theater at the end of each movie. Grant it they even named that next movie Apocalyse and no one knew who he was due to being a blue kid.

Rosamund Pike looked pretty freaking good in Gone Girl. The stuff that came out of her mouth was a bit naughty too.

Very nice opening, I like it. It immediately captures the viewers' curiosity.

I really have to start reading the new Thor books. I've only read the Thor vs. Galactus issue.

RR looks great in that pic. She was in great (slimmer) shape back in late 2013 and early 2014. She has ballooned since then but she can easily achieve that figure again.

Hmmm, I just remembered, but isnt Carol Danvers supposed to be in a coma after Rogue grabbed her? How did she recover from that?

No Emily Blunt love?

Apparently after her tough girl turn in Edge of tomorrow she has become fanatical working out? She does like two a days and lifts weights and runs track. Now she is only 5'7" that for me seems a little shorter then I would like more like 5'9" to 5'11" for me but she has has the physical presences?

I think she spent time w/Prof X & X-Men and recovered, then when Rogue came to X-Men for help around #171, Carol had Binary powers and upper cut Rogue into orbit, I think.

Carol also lost her memories due to Rogue stealing her powers. Professor X managed to restore them but she doesn't have any emotional connection to her memories. She spent some time as the X-Men's pilot and intelligence operative. Due to the experimentation of the Brood, the full potential of her powers were unlocked and she became Binary. After touring with the Starjammers, she lost her Binary powers but her Ms. Marvels were fully restored.

Blunt would be good for the role. I just think there are a few better choices before her.

For me, Chris Claremont's Ms. Marvel stories in the X-Men were much better than all her solo comics.

The video that made me check the series out, they start going into spoilers about 5 minutes in and discussing the end 9 minutes in. I didn't watch the full vid till I was done with the arc.

Truly a balloon.

Ok, ballooned might have been an exaggeration. :icon_chee It's just that I've seen her a lot of her in interviews in her dress and she doesn't look good.

Adamant, have you figured out yet who the "mysterious figure" was in the post-credit scene? :)

"Red Strands........appearing to be hair" and "helmet"......

My three guesses were either Magneto, Wanda, or:

If not any of them, then I'm stumped.

Maggie Cohen, the one who is dating the Asian on Walking Dead that Dragornborn listed in the OP.

She looks the part, she's the right age, I could see her going through a comic movie story arc pretty easily. She's a young soldier who doesn't know what to do with herself and her power, faces a challenge, learns a lesson. That's what the movie will be and she could definitely play that.

She's perfect for this role.

Just to clarify, the helmet belonged to the last Skrull. He sees something over the horizon. We only see the reflection from the visor on his helmet something glimmering like a city of some sorts. And the red strands of hair does not belong to the same stranger that whispers, "shh". Basically the Skrulls were killed by multiple individuals.

Anybody else want to guess who these mysterious people are in the post-credit scene in post #8?

Anybody? Bueller?

A lot of these actresses are too xkinny to play Carol. Dragonlord, you perplexingly called Lucy Lawless chubby (which is absurd) in reference to Wonder Woman casting, but her body type has been directly referenced as the same that Carol has in the comics. Usually when someone wanted to anger Carol they'd call her plump or chubby in not so many words (which the character is not), but she'w just a tall curvy girl. Lawrence used to have that body type at 5'10", still might, but I don't watch her newer films. Mackenzie Davis is made more for Samus Aran, she's too thin for Captain Marvel.
The actress would need to have spunk and presence, something like Maureen O'Hara back in the day when she held her own with The Duke, but not many actresses can do now. I think that's a reason why fans like Sackhoff, she could play tough along the guys and has personality, I think that's extremely important to the role.

How about you, Rama. I know you can easily figure out the identity of the mystery group in the post-credit scene in post #8.

Its the inhumans, right? Seems too obvious...

Still cant wait to see black bolt's powers on the big screen also doctor strange, shit cant wait for everything about to come out. DAREDEVIL!!!

Anyone watch the eric andre show on adult swim?

I was beginning with going through your story, and I get a call to meet up with a friend. Will continue later. Argh.
