Rachel Nichols - The lovely Rachel Nichols has all the credentials (height, beauty, acting, build). If she can get into G.I. Joe fighting shape, Rachel is easily top 5 for the role. Unfortunately, her enemy is time - she turned 35 last January. You can catch her on the fourth and final season of Continuum.

It’s a crime that Rachel doesn’t get more attention. She would absolutely nail this part. Besides, when she keeps her natural blonde she looks 5 years younger than she is.

Rosamund Pike - When Rosamund was a bit younger, there was always something odd about her face even though she looked beautiful. And that problem only got worse as she aged. She's just 35 but she looks old for her age. Tremendous actress but age, voice and looks are all wrong for the part.

Rosamund Pike is 35?!?! WTF!!!! You mean to tell me she was only 23 in Die Another Day?! I could’ve sworn she was around 30 in that one.

Ronda Rousey - No.

That should be HELL NO!!!! I just came from watching Furious 7. She was out-acted by the cars.

Yvonne Strahovski (mine!) - Best known for portraying CIA Agent Sarah Walker in Chuck and Hannah McKay in Dexter, Yvonne Strahovski was born to play Captain Marvel. The 5'9" Australian beauty can next be seen this spring in ABC's The Astronaut Wives Club.

This is one of my top choices. Anyone who has seen Chuck knows she can pull it off.

Laura Vandervoort - The Canadian cutie name doesn't come up often in the Captain Marvel fancast, probably because most fans associate her with being Supergirl in Smallville. But I think she's not a bad choice for Carol Danvers. Laura is currently starring in the werewolf drama series Bitten.

This is the one where personal experience plays against me.

I adore Laura, but I met her one at Dragon*Con, got my picture taken with her and everything. In person she looks really tiny and it will be harder for me to suspend disbelief if I see her playing Carol in a movie.

Katheryn Winnick - Before she became one of the fanboy's favorite to play Carol Danvers, I was already a fan of Katheryn and casting her as Black Canary a few years ago. I love the idea of Katheryn as Captain Marvel but the Vikings star's age is not ideal for the studios to hang the future of the franchise on.

(First of all… MINE!!) Katheryn would be absolutely fantastic in this part. I’ve known for year she has the action chops to play a superhero, and Vikings has shown that she has the presence to portray someone who commands authority and respect.

Unfortunately, even though I think we can all agree that she doesn’t look her age, the studio is not going to look past her age on paper. It’s truly a shame.

Strahovski's titties are too small. Prime Elisha Cuthbert would be good. Just do movie magic like how Lord of the Rings made the guy who played the troll look short. Rachel Nichols is also super duper.

Prime Elisha Cuthbert would still not cut it for me. Her prime was during the 24 era and Girl Next Door (2004). That would put the actress around 21 to 22 years old which is too young to play Major Carol Danvers. Plus she's not that good of an actress and her voice is too girly which would all adds to the fact that she would be totally unconvincing as a tough superhero.

Besides, if her recent roles have proved anything, it is that her strength lies in comedy. She was absolutely hilarious in Happy Endings.

Just to clarify, majority of the 31 candidates I listed where not of my choosing. I looked up several media sites on which actresses they wanted as Captain Marvel and I just graded them.

For Ronda, I already have the Marvel role for her and just now figured out how I'd fit it into Thor 3.

Coincidentally, my last project before I may or may not lie low for a while from Sherdog is Thor 3 and 4. Originally, it was supposed to be just Thor: Ragnarok but after the mess The Dark World made, I decided to make Ragnarok the fourth movie and make a third movie to fix what The Dark World made.
