I too thought this is about the DC Billy Batson. I heard the Rock is playing Black Adam right? So they are making a movie about that guy.

Yep, a Shazam movie is coming out sometime in 2019 with The Rock playing Black Adam.

But why cant they just do a movie starring the blue skinned Kree male Mar Vell? This is going to be a chick flick, but I guess I give it a go. Some chick flicks are pretty good.

Because Carol Danvers is Marvel's version of Wonder Woman (which Marvel has been poorly utilizing). Besides, the original Captain Marvel has been dead (mostly) since 1982 and the new male Captain Marvels since then weren't a hit and were soon disregarded.

How about Caty Lutz for Ms Marvel?

Perfect age. Very pretty. Short, very young looking and has a girly voice though. Carol Danvers is a Major in the US Air Force.

I find it funny how the Captain Marvel comic is selling like shit, but Marvel is so desperate for their own version of Wonder Woman they refuse to cancel it despite cancelling other books that were actually selling better.

Even the spinoff series Ms. Marvel (the teenager one) is selling better than Captain Marvel.

What's frustrating about Marvel's approach to Captain Marvel (aside from the dull stories in her monthly book) is that don't even bother hiring a few great artists to do the covers. So when people google her images or when the media sites decide to post her image, they are all poorly drawn.

I put a Kamala cameo in the write-up I did for this over a year ago. After it was announced that this was going to be in the middle of Avengers movies I gave up trying to think of how it would fit, then it got moved back for Spider-Man so I started a write-up for that.

For me, Thor is more of Marvel's equivalent to Superman than Wonder Woman.

But to clarify my earlier statement, Wonder Woman is DC's top female superhero and that is what Marvel wants Captain Marvel to be for their company but doing a poor job of going about it.

Abbie Cornish - The tall Australian actress has been a favorite of mine in several fancasts. The only thing she has to work on is her slimming down a little and get her body into Sucker Punch fighting shape.
