Can The Avengers take down Superman?

Superman is the most garbage hero of all time. Stark finds kryptonite and GG. Batman held his own for a while ffs.

How about Superman rages after the Avengers accidentally kills Lane, in a city where they assembled to stop a villain? Supes is pissed and goes all out. Ala Punisher?

Again, Dr. Fate or Strange need only teleport him to a place with a red Sun and conjure up some green Kryptonite. You saw how easily Strange handled Loki. And Superman’s documented vulnerability to magic gives the good Doctors enough magical armor to put their plan into effect.

What if Superman came prepared?

How come everyone gets prep time but not Superman? He has the speed and isn't dumb a rock to come up of a plan to beat anyone. Mkst people think Supes will just fly through and go through his motions of beating people up. Can Superman plan ahead to beat the Avengers instead of going in blind?

Galactus curb stomps all of them then takes a dump on their carcasses

Prep time is the worst plot armor ever created in comic books. Just accept that Superman traditionally can’t handle magic users unless the writers want him to.

So given the OP. No prep time. Street Fighter style. Thor and his magic hammer/axe along with the Hulk are more than enough for Superman. And I’m sure Stark has some tech to throw in there that would scan Superman’s need for solar energy, and make a plan accordingly.

The guy can tear off a part of a head made out of vibranium without even trying. He effortlessly KOed the Hulk. Cap can still get killed by a bullet. By the movie's logic, Cap's head should be a smoothie after one punch from Thanos.
They treat this the same way as in the comics. Cap has enhanced durability, which means he can take a punch from Thanos without dying, but that punch is an instant ko. Which is exactly what happened in the movie. Nobody gets their head splattered by a punch unless you're reading a Marvel Max book or something (their for adults label)

No. Because superman can move thousands of times faster than they can think. And he can instantly kill almost every Avenger in one hit. The only guys tough enough to take a hit from supes are still far too slow to do anything to him

Every single time supes is in a battle scenario people only give him his strength, and complain when you mention his other powers. If he's far, far too strong for his opponent when he uses the full range of his abilities.... then the fight is a mismatch.

I don't see anyone saying the hulk needs to come in with his hands tied behind his back because his strength is unfair. It's a really, really stupid argument.

Are we witnessing the beginning of some arch-enemy shit?!
It's not new. I don't think we ever agree on anything. And we both seem to find the other's logic and way of thinking irritating

Nah Thanos was clearly toying with the Avengers.

I don’t think the Cap fan base is that big. I think the Thor fan base is way larger and Thor got demolished in the very beginning.

Besides holding off Thanos’s one hand with everything he has isn’t that impressive. Running down the field with black panther ahead of everyone in the battlefield.. now that was cool.

International box office stat

First Avenger 370 mil
Winter Soldier 714 mil
Civil War 1153 mil

vs

Thor 449 mil
Dark World 644 mil
Ragnarok 853 mil

You can say Civil War's record is padded by Iron Man, but still, Thor does not have "way larger" fan base, in the MCU. Regardless of whether the writers tweaks their power level base on popularity. Captain America is clearly top 3 in terms of popularity.

That was one of the worst offenses of the movie. Then she threatens to kill them and let's them go. With the universe at stake.
They didn't let them go. They clearly used their tech to teleport away. Yes in that brief moment before they ported she could have fired, but that's not how they wanted that conflict to end.

In the movies when Spidey and company tried to pull the guantlet out of Thanos, were they even close to pulling that off before Quill got emo? Is it even possible to just remove the gauntlet off Thanos and would that have lowered his abilities for everyone to just gang up on him?

Two things:
1. Hulk is strongest one there is.
2. God of fucking Thunder.

No kidding.

Marvel heros come with flaws.

That's a good thing.
Right? DC heroes are so op it makes their comics boring and it makes their characters boring in any versus battle.

Anyway everyone else is just saying how they think it will go with little to no logical basis, worse their arguments hinge on stupid writing every single time. We are obviously more knowledgeable about these characters, and we've destroyed their arguments over and over with scans and logical analysis.
