I was referencing the video more than anything. The person who created the video never stated what universe Dr. M was in, he only poses the question of who could take Dr. M. Both SMP1M and CA-Superman would stomp him out.

As a side note, the video states that Flashpoint is what brought the watchmen over and Dr. M just so happened to start making changes to it? Did he actually create it or was he sucked into it?

I mean if you look at it logically and still cannot understand how it's impossible to beat an opponent thousands of times faster than you, I don't know what to say or how else to explain it.. In real life fights are decided by one person being a tiny bit faster than another. Superman is literally so fast non speedsters are not able to react to him.

Because there is literally no counter for super speed unless you just don't use it like a retard. Superman can kill most of the avengers in one hit and is thousands of times faster. Again. Thousands.


And I already explained that crossover is supes fighting the entire avengers pretty much using just his strength. Because otherwise he'd murder them. Comic book writing has literally ALWAYS been like this, because their are many power tiers, and some characters are like gods compared to others. As soon as the fight starts anyone with magic like wanda or strange would be instantly dead. They would be like statues compared to his speed. Nobody on the avengers is fast enough to deal with him. Quicksilver would be too fast and Superman is FAR faster than any version of him.

Did you watch that clip from Justice League where he was beating up all of them at once while they were like statues? It would be like that for the avengers only worse, as other members of the JLA have super speed too. There is no timing in the world that can save you when someone can fly to a different planet in the time it takes you to walk to your car. He is a god among mortals.

I mean did you really read that story? He's trying to talk to billy the whole time and reverse Luthor's brainwashing. He just lets Billy tee off on him while he tries to reason with him. The very moment he starts getting annoyed he uses his speed and grabs billy during the lighting. Meaning he could have done so at any time. The dialogue even spells out that he does not want to fight billy and would rather just eat the lightning and talk to him, because he can take it.

Its one of my all time favorite stories.
Superman is rushing to stop the shenanigans that is going to get some, and possibly all, of the heroes/ villains killed by the World Governments.
Shazam stops Superman from doing that and its back and forth before Billy brings the thunder (well, lightening). Supes is getting fucked up.
Sure's he's trying to reason w/ Billy, but that is because he knows him and also knows that they could go on fighting forever.

Then at the end, Billy turns back into Marvel and outraces him (after giving up a significant head start) to the nuke. At that point you're not sure if he's going to keep fighting Superman or not.

Lol this is like the third time I've seen him beat the flash by holding an object out and flash just runs into it. Completely asinine, since the flash has superhuman reflexes as well as speed. If he didn't he'd run into a wall at lightspeed and turn himself into a smear. Just the laziest dumbest writing. But to be fair without dumb writing the JLA would never lose to anyone, especially flash. He's by far the strongest JLA member.

If you want to bring up every power ever used in the history of ever, ten you also have to take into account how easily these powers have been countered.

Heroes and villains with super speed have been beaten time and time again, often by normal people. It doesnt matter what would "really" happen. We either take into account the times the superpowers have been negated or we exclude them.

As it is, super speed has never been an "I win" button among superheroes.


Besides, DC is fucking stupid with their heroes. Even when it comes down to silly board games like heroclix. Marvel has their biggest heroes cost around 170-200 points and then DC releases a Joker figure thats 200+ points. Likewise, heroes like Robin and catwoman cost more than Wolverine, X-men, etc. DC has total Little Dick Syndrome and overcompensates whenever possible.

I never took it as a real fight. That's what Luthor wanted, but Supes has known Billy since he was a child and didn't want to hurt him. They've fought before and supes always wins. The fact that he has mortal Billy by the throat the second he wanted to makes it clear he could have ended that fight at any time, if he was willing to kill billy. Outracing supes at the end is a bit iffy given their power sets, but fine to me within the context of the story.


Incidentally Kingdom Come is one of my favoorite GNs too, second only to Watchmen.

How do you make a character like that interesting without writing yourself into a corner? How is Lois Lane still alive? How does he shave?
