Opinion California on fire

There's only a few places overweight lesbians are qualified to work at. Starbucks is one of the places I don't go to. Or Mello Mango. They need to be making smoothies and coffees for women. Not fighting wildfires..

Not a single one of those women were capable of doing a correct pushup, pull up, or running a mile in under 8 minutes.

The one lesbian admitted she couldn't carry a man out of a burning house.. I don't think she could carry a woman out.

We need physical fitness standards mandatory in some jobs. Military, police, firemen.

I guarantee if they had physical fitness test, those lesbian fire fighters were cheating on the results. Fudging all the numbers. Probably didn't even run the mile, just wrote down a passable time. That's what they do..

Then they gatekeep those jobs.. They'll only hire more losers like them. Superman could go fill out a job app at the fire station and those lesbians won't hire him

That's what they do

It's logic. Not rocket science.

Who cares about Nestle? If they did some illegal crap to steal water out of California then they should go down for it.
Just because something is legal doesn’t mean that it is right. Especially in a capitalistic society that lacks any sort of political finance laws worth half a damn.

Bottling millions of gallons of natural water and shipping it around the world means less water for the ecosystem which leads to droughts which leads to this

Wouldn't that be for Cali to file? And it still goes on with california water?

Hard to file when the politicians who make the laws are already bought and paid for
In California? I'm definitely down for general politician negative speak being same but what specifically

Another illegal alien caught starting fires

His face is unblurred everywhere else. He's from a Guatemalan prison is what the word on the Wifi streets are saying.

I knew it. And you watch how quick that narrative goes back to climate change.

lol.... Yes its climate change. Like the Santa Ana winds are recent phenomenon.

And Fire Demand is absolutely an engineering criteria for designing a Water Supply System.... Are you fucking kidding? The three 1 million gallon tanks lasted for about one day... there's 117 million gallons in this reservoir. It would have lasted almost a week at least. Combined the with City's connected system, they could have at least saved a good part of the city instead of having to bail out and let the fire go unabated.

These people are paid to consider worst case scenarios. The threat of fire here is not a new issue, there's always been droughts here. There's recorded history of severe droughts going back 200 years. Stop with the climate bullshit. The City gets blasted by the desert yearly.... way before people even lived there. lol...

God... you're broken records. Too much rain - Climate Change, Droughts - Climate Change... lol fuck off already

It certainly looks like this 117MG reservoir was the primary storage location while the 3 - 1 million gallon tanks were there for local storage to provide water system pressure. That's pretty standard in these hilly areas to have smaller water tanks elevated to provide system pressure without resorting to relying on a pump station with a hydro tank to provide water pressure.

So they were relying on the the lower elevation pump stations to fill the smaller GST's until the reservoir was put back online.

Note the last paragraphs...so it begins. Let the music start...

An Important Reservoir Was Offline When the Fires Began

The Santa Ynez Reservoir in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood had been shut down. Water there normally helps replenish tanks that were drained by firefighters.

Traci Park, the Los Angeles City Council member whose district includes Pacific Palisades, had not been made aware that the reservoir was offline, a spokesman said on Friday.

The spokesman, Pete Brown, said Ms. Park and her team had many questions about the water systems and the Santa Ynez Reservoir, and would be seeking more answers about whether it should have been out of commission.
Are you arguing that climate change has had no impact on droughts and weather conditions in California? Because that's laughable. And no the 117 million gallons wouldn't have lasted a week, water would have still ran out. That quantity would be for refilling the tanks that water is umped from. Hydrants aren't directly connected to the Santa Ynez reservoir. How is it it you work in utilities yet are so consistently wrong with basic facts?

California was too busy suing Donald Trump every 12 days instead of dealing with the forests and lack of water. They made sure to keep Gavin Newsom in office so nothing would change when they could have removed him in the 2021 recall.

I think most reasonable people agree that using these tragedies to one up your political/ideologic opposites is poor form, just like those once every 500 years phenomenons, you previously reference, that no community can possibly prepare 100% for, just like the Houston freeze. But people still do.
There's some salience to what you're saying but one of the issues with Houston was how Texas decided to handle their electrical grid. I wouldn't say that's particularly similar to this case.

It's also worth noting that one of the reasons this has become such a cudgel is that Pacific Palisades is stupidly rich and therefore had/continues to have the ability to draw attention to their cause. Not right or wrong, just what it is. Wildfires are overwhelmingly a rich people problem in California, with the rest of the state bailing out wealthier neighborhoods. Median sale price for Pacific Palisades is a few million dollars.

It is amazing that when Paradise burned down nobody really cared because it was the most isolated and poor area that could burn down. Literally the only affordable and and kinda Nice and amazing place in California. FUCK.

I'm drunk
